Jimenez went 2-for-3 with a walk, a home run, two RBI and one run scored Tuesday against the Cubs.

Jimenez provided the game-winning runs in the ninth frame, taking Pedro Strop deep on a two-run shot for his 12th home run of the season. It was redemption for Jimenez, as he came to the plate with the bases-loaded in the first inning, but grounded into a double plate to squander the chance. He's proven plenty efficient at the plate of late, smacking six home runs in his past nine games while also recording five multi-hit games in the same span. After a slow start to the season, Jimenez is suddenly hitting .254/.310/.497 across 187 plate appearances.

Pederson has been working at first base and is expected to play there at some point this season, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.

The Dodgers have toyed with the idea of using Pederson at first base in the past, but manager Dave Roberts said Tuesday that the 27-year-old is "ramping up" his reps at the position and that he expects he'll be deployed there at some point in 2019. The Dodgers will have a logjam in the outfield when A.J. Pollock (elbow) returns from the injured list, so this would be one way to keep giving Pederson his regular share of at-bats when Pollock is back in the fold.

Reyes is back on the bench Tuesday against the Brewers.

Reyes sat for three straight games over the weekend due to neck stiffness, though he returned to the lineup for Monday's contest. It's unclear if Tuesday's absence is a routine one or if the injury has gotten worse. In either case, Josh Naylor will get the start in right field.

Choi isn't in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Yankees, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Choi will head to the bench with J.A. Happ set to toe the rubber for New York. Travis d'Arnaud draws the start at first base and is leading off in Choi's absence.

Cabrera is starting at first base and batting third Tuesday against Pittsburgh, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Cabrera will indeed see at least some time at first base this season, even after Detroit reported a week ago that he wouldn't play the field again in 2019. The club figures to keep a close eye on his lingering knee issue, and he's expected to slot in as the designated hitter for the majority of his starts moving forward.

Buxton (wrist) was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Brandon Warne of ZoneCoverage.com reports.

Buxton hadn't played since getting hit by a pitch Friday against the Royals. The issue had been referred to as a bruise, and there haven't been reports of an updated diagnosis, so it appears as though the bruise was significant enough to warrant him missing at least another week. The move was made retroactive to Saturday, so he's eligible to return as soon as next Tuesday. Jake Cave was recalled in a corresponding move.

Stanton (shoulder) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list as expected Tuesday.

Stanton had been out since the end of March with a string of injuries. He's ready to go now after going 6-for-21 with five homers over six rehab games. He'll have to play the outfield more than before after Edwin Encarnacion was acquired to fill the designated hitter spot, but regardless of where he plays, he'll occupy a key spot in a strong lineup.

The White Sox officially selected Collins' contract from Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday.

News of Collins' callup first surfaced Sunday, when Welington Castillo suffered an oblique strain that ultimately resulted in a trip to the 10-day injured list. While Castillo is on the mend, Collins will step in as Chicago's backup catcher, though the 2016 first-round pick's reputation as a poor defender likely means he'll only relieve No. 1 backstop James McCann behind the dish once or twice a week. Collins, who slugged nine home runs while reaching base at a .374 clip at Triple-A, could still enter the lineup on a semi-regular basis as a designated hitter.

Carpenter went 3-for-4 with a double, a solo home run and three runs overall in a win over the Marlins on Monday.

Monday's line was the type Carpenter made the norm beginning just before this point of the season in 2018, which helped the veteran third baseman erase an abysmal start and eventually slug a career-high 36 home runs. Carpenter has been similarly scuffling at the plate for the majority of the current campaign, but there's cautious optimism he could once again be building some summertime momentum. Carpenter has lifted his average 28 points since May 15, and his current .227 figure, middling as it may be, qualifies as his highest since April 14.

Soler went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk to help the Royals to a 6-4 victory over the Mariners on Monday.

The Royals were trailing 4-3 in the eighth inning but Soler gave them the lead back for good with a two-run blast off Anthony Bass for his 19th long ball of the season. The 27-year-old is hitting just .245, but he's provided solid power returns for the Royals so far this season, as he's clubbed 17 doubles in addition to the 19 homers to leave him with a .520 slugging percentage through 269 at-bats.
