Dodgers' Justin Turner: Returns to action Sunday
Turner (lower leg) is starting at third base and batting third Sunday at Cincinnati, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
Turner sustained a left shin contusion Friday after fouling a ball off his leg and was unable to start Saturday, though he did make a pinch-hit appearance. The 34-year-old will look to get back on track as he is without a hit since last Saturday.

Winker went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a 4-0 victory over the Dodgers on Saturday.
Overall, the 25-year-old has produced strong power numbers, but this was his first extra-base hit since May 5. Winker hasn't recorded multiple hits in any of his last 10 games, and since then, his average has dropped 22 points. Winker is hitting .221 with 10 home runs, 16 RBI and 22 runs in 140 at-bats this season.

Turner fouled a ball off his shin Friday but escaped with nothing worse than a bruise. He's not starting Saturday, and there's no guarantee he's back Sunday, but with off days coming both Monday and Thursday, the Dodgers hope he'll have time to heal while remaining on the active roster.

He has 14 homers and six doubles this season, hitting .266 through 45 games. He doesn't draw many walks -- earning only eight free passes compared to 40 strikeouts.

McCutchen launched a two-run homer in the third inning to tie the ballgame, registering his sixth home run of the season. The veteran outfielder has reached base safely in eight of his last 11 contests, and he'll aim to keep it rolling at the dish in the final two games of the series.

The 26-year-old has struggled to a .222 average through 44 games so far in 2019, though he's registered a base knock in each of his past three contests, perhaps indicating that he's getting ready to turn the corner.
