Carpenter is starting at third base and hitting sixth Wednesday against the Dodgers.

Carpenter hit leadoff in his first two games back from the injured list, but after going 1-for-9 with a trio of strikeouts in those games, he'll drop to sixth in the order for a second straight game while Dexter Fowler mans the leadoff spot.

Ramirez isn't in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mets, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Ramirez will head to the bench after going 1-for-7 with an RBI through the first two games of the series. Jon Berti is set to man left field and hit second in Ramirez's stead.

Pederson went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk and an additional run in Monday's 8-0 win over the Cardinals.

Since busting out for 26 home runs as a rookie in 2015, Pederson has come tantalizing close to establishing a new career high in the category on two occasions, finishing with 25 long balls apiece in 2016 and 2018. Assuming health prevails over the final two months of the season, Pederson shouldn't have much trouble surpassing his rookie-year mark after going deep for the 24th time Monday. The Dodgers will continue to withhold Pederson from the lineup versus left-handed pitching, but his .821 OPS should keep him locked into the starting nine against righties in most games unless he falls into an extended slump.

Winker is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Angels.

Winker started in Monday's series-opening 7-4 victory, even though the Angels deployed a lefty (Patrick Sandoval) as their primary pitcher. Though Winker acquitted himself well in the contest by recording a base hit and a walk in his two plate appearances, he'll retreat to the bench as he usually does versus lefties with another southpaw (Jose Suarez) on the bump for the Angels on Tuesday. Phillip Ervin will spell Winker in left field.

Turner went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base in Monday's 8-0 win over the Cardinals.

Turner stole his first bag since May 24, giving him two in 2019 and matching his total from last season. The 34-year-old third baseman raised his OPS to .850 with 66 runs scored.

Carpenter (foot) went 1-for-5 in a loss to the Athletics on Sunday, his first game back from the injured list.

Carpenter started at third base and slotted into his familiar leadoff spot in the order, but as his final line indicates, he wasn't able to generate much in the way of production. The veteran mostly scuffled at the plate during his extended rehab assignment as well, so concerns about whether he'll be able to salvage his season in any appreciable way abound at this point. Factoring in Sunday's production, Carpenter's season line sits at .215/.319/.369, with all three components sitting at their lowest points since his initial seven-game big-league cup of coffee in 2011.

Blackmon went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two runs scored in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Giants.

Blackmon had himself quite a weekend, going 6-for-10 with three extra-base hits and four runs scored over his last two games. The 33-year-old outfielder is sporting a .325/.371/.597 slash line with 57 extra-base knocks and 82 runs scored.

Turner is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

Turner started the first three games of the series and went 3-for-12 with one home run, two RBI and six strikeouts, so he'll head to the bench Sunday. Kris Negron will take over at the hot corner and bat sixth in the series finale.

Miller (hip) was activated off the 10-day injured list Sunday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Miller landed on the shelf July 24 with a right hip flexor strain, but he was able to make a relatively quick return with no rehab assignment. The veteran infielder figures to resume his utility role for the Phillies but could see additional opportunities at third base with Maikel Franco optioned to Lehigh Valley.
