Daniel Vogelbach DH | TOR
Mets' Daniel Vogelbach: In designated hitter spot
Vogelbach is starting at designated hitter and batting seventh Wednesday versus the Cubs, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.
It's just his third start in seven contests since Mark Vientos was promoted from Triple-A Syracuse. Vogelbach has collected just two hits over his last 19 at-bats and appears to have been supplanted as the Mets' primary DH versus right-handed pitching.

Mark Vientos DH | NYM
Mets' Mark Vientos: Absent from lineup
Vientos is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.
Vientos has now started four games and been on the bench three times since his promotion a week ago. All three times he's been out of the lineup have been against righties, and Daniel Vogelbach has been the designated hitter in each case as he will be Wednesday.

Kyle Lewis DH | ARI
Diamondbacks' Kyle Lewis: Homers in rehab game
Lewis (illness) began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Reno on Tuesday and went 2-for-6 with a home run, three RBI and an additional run.
Lewis served as Reno's designated hitter and made six trips to the plate in his first official game action at any level since April 7. Due to the length of his absence on account of the undisclosed illness, Lewis will almost certainly remain on assignment with Reno through the weekend, and it's possible that his stay on the 10-day injured list could bleed into the upcoming week. Lewis has two minor-league options remaining, and since he doesn't project to hold anything more than a short-side platoon role for the big club, the Diamondbacks could choose to keep him at Reno once he's activated.

J.D. Martinez DH | NYM
Dodgers' J.D. Martinez: Swats another long ball
Martinez went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run Tuesday in an 8-1 win against Atlanta.
With the Dodgers up 5-1 in the ninth, Martinez provided the knockout punch with a three-run shot off Michael Tonkin. The homer was the third in the past two contests for Martinez and extended his hitting streak to eight games. Over that stretch, the veteran slugger is slashing .314/.324/.714 with four home runs and 12 RBI.

Jorge Soler DH | LAA
Marlins' Jorge Soler: Smacks 13th homer
Soler went 2-for-5 with a home run, a double and two RBI in Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the Rockies.
Soler got the Marlins on the board with a first-inning solo shot and added an RBI double as they tried to rally in the ninth, but it ultimately wasn't enough. The homer was his fourth in the last eight games. Soler's up to 13 long balls, 10 doubles, 29 RBI, 25 runs scored and a .246/.323/.526 slash line through 47 contests.

Christopher Morel DH | MIA
Cubs' Christopher Morel: Keeps power surge going
Morel went 1-for-3 with a walk, a solo home run and two runs scored in Tuesday's win over the Mets.
Morel continued his incredible power surge, as he now has nine home runs in just 12 games this season. While this level of production has been unexpected, the youngster did record 16 home runs in 113 games as a rookie last year, so this isn't completely out of thin air. Morel is highly unlikely to keep this pace up, but he could be a strong fantasy contributor the rest of the way.

Joc Pederson DH | TEX
Giants' Joc Pederson: Unable to fully grip bat yet
Pederson (hand) was still unable to grip the bat at full strength as of Tuesday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Pederson had been aiming to return to the Giants on their current road trip, which began Monday in Minnesota and runs through the coming weekend, but that seems doubtful to happen. He was placed on the injured list May 15 due to a right hand contusion and the swelling has yet to fully dissipate.
-
Matt Carpenter DH | STL
Padres' Matt Carpenter: On bench against lefty
Carpenter is not in the lineup Tuesday versus the Nationals.
Carpenter enjoyed a big day in the Padres' series finale against the Red Sox on Sunday, but he'll start out on the bench for Tuesday's opener against Washington with left-hander MacKenzie Gore set to take the mound. Nelson Cruz is serving as the DH and Brandon Dixon will play first base.
-
Mark Canha LF | TEX
Mets' Mark Canha: Sitting amid slump
Canha is out of the lineup Tuesday night against the Cubs.
Tommy Pham, Brandon Nimmo and Starling Marte are starting across the outfield. Mark Vientos is taking a turn as the designated hitter. Canha has slashed just .232/.271/.357 over his last 59 plate appearances dating back to April 28.

Ji-Man Choi 1B | NYM
Pirates' Ji-Man Choi: Doing more baseball activities
Choi (Achilles) fielded grounders from his knees Tuesday in Pittsburgh, Justice delos Santos of MLB.com reports.
Choi is easing back into baseball activities five weeks after being placed on the 10-day injured list because of a left Achilles strain. He was eventually transferred to the 60-day IL and probably won't be ready to return to the Pirates' active roster until late June or early July.
