Tigers' Jahmai Jones: Powers offense Saturday
Jones went 2-for-4 with two RBI in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Red Sox.

The outfielder is now riding a three-game hitting streak, during which time he's gone 4-for-9 with a home run and five RBI. Jones gives Detroit a potent bat against southpaws in the playoffs, as he's sporting a robust .970 OPS in those matchups this year.

Mariners' Jorge Polanco: Clubs homer in loss
Polanco went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Dodgers.
Polanco's fifth-inning blast gave the Mariners a 3-2 lead. He's homered twice over his last three games and now has 26 long balls on the year, the second-best total of any season in his career. The second baseman has added a .265/.326/.495 slash line with 78 RBI, 64 runs scored, six stolen bases and 30 doubles over 138 contests. Trout has gone yard four times in his last five games to reach 25 on the year, the 10th time in his career he's reached that milestone, and his 403 career blasts rank second among active players behind Giancarlo Stanton's 452.

Masataka Yoshida DH | BOS
Red Sox's Masataka Yoshida: Extends hit streak
Yoshida went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in Friday's 4-3 win over the Tigers.
The Red Sox did little against Detroit starter Casey Mize for six innings until Yoshida opened the seventh with a single. Two batters later and after 80 pitches, Mize was removed, and the Red Sox took advantage of the bullpen. Yoshida scored in the seventh, and Boston scored runs in the following two innings to complete the comeback. The multi-hit effort extended Yoshida's hit streak to seven games, during which he's gone 13-for-30 (.433) with four extra-base hits and five RBI.
