Yordan Alvarez DH | HOU
Astros' Yordan Alvarez: Slugs fourth homer
Alvarez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Friday against the Rangers.
Alvarez took Martin Perez deep in the third inning to tally his fourth homer of the season. Alvarez has also uncharacteristically punched out three times in consecutive games, bringing his strikeout rate to an inflated 25.9 percent clip. Even so, it's difficult to argue with his production early this season, as he's hitting .295 with 17 RBI and nine runs scored across 54 plate appearances.

Eloy Jimenez DH | TOR
White Sox's Eloy Jimenez: Not ready for outfield yet
Jimenez will be initially limited to designated hitter duty only upon his activation from the injured list Friday, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.
All six of Jimenez's starts this season (including Friday) have come at DH, so it's no surprise coming off a hamstring injury that the White Sox don't want him playing the outfield yet. He'll need to ramp up his running before being considered as a defensive option.

Harold Ramirez DH | WAS
Rays' Harold Ramirez: Gets breather Friday
Ramirez isn't starting Friday's game against the Blue Jays, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.
Coming off the heels of a 3-for-4 performance Thursday in which he logged three RBI, Ramirez will get a day off in Friday's series opener. His absence allows Josh Lowe to start in right field and bat eighth, with Randy Arozarena getting a partial rest as the DH.

Nick Solak 1B | PIT
White Sox's Nick Solak: Claimed by ChiSox
Solak was claimed off waivers by the White Sox on Friday and optioned to Triple-A Charlotte.
After being traded from Cincinnati to Seattle and then later DFA'd by the Mariners, Solak now joins his third organization in the last month. The 28-year-old outfielder will serve as organizational depth at the Triple-A level, where he currently holds a .371 OPS over 17 plate appearances.

Eloy Jimenez DH | TOR
White Sox's Eloy Jimenez: Reinstated from injured list
Jimenez (hamstring) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Friday.
Jimenez resumed workouts almost immediately after hitting the injured list April 5, and he has now been activated after a minimum-length stay on the IL. The 26-year-old slugger got off to a slow start prior to straining his hamstring, slashing just .211/.318/.316 through 22 plate appearances.

Eloy Jimenez DH | TOR
White Sox's Eloy Jimenez: Expected back Friday
Jimenez (hamstring) is likely to be activated from the injured list Friday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
It would be a minimum stay on the IL for the slugger. Jimenez was able to continue workouts almost immediately after being injured and has ramped things up without issue in recent days. It helps that he can be put in the designated hitter spot to protect his legs. Jimenez had a .634 OPS in his first five contests this season before getting injured.

Harold Ramirez DH | WAS
Rays' Harold Ramirez: Stays hot in win
Ramirez went 3-for-4 with two doubles, three RBI and a run scored in Thursday's win over the Red Sox.
Both of Ramirez's doubles came during the Rays' seven-run fifth inning. He opened the frame with his first two-bagger before later clearing the bases with a double down the third-base line. Ramirez now has 10 hits in his last 23 at-bats, including three doubles and three home runs. His OPS is up to 1.092 early in the season with seven RBI and six runs scored.

Justin Turner DH | CHC
Red Sox's Justin Turner: Double, stolen base in loss
Turner went 2-for-4 with a double, RBI and a stolen base in Thursday's loss against Tampa Bay.
Turner led off the fourth inning with a double, stole third base and came around to score on Enrique Hernandez's RBI groundout. The stolen base was the first of the season for Turner, who went 3-for-3 in steal attempts last season. He's also been heating up at the plate, going 5-for-10 with a pair of doubles in his last three games. Turner is now slashing .255/.379/.319 through his first 47 plate appearances with the Red Sox.

Brent Rooker DH | ATH
Athletics' Brent Rooker: Homers twice Thursday
Rooker went 2-for-4 with two home runs and five RBI in Thursday's 8-7 loss to Baltimore.
Rooker got Oakland on the board in the first inning with a sacrifice fly before crushing a three-run homer off Cole Irvin in the third. He would then add a second long ball and a fifth RBI off Austin Voth in the fifth, tying the game 7-7 with a solo shot. Rooker has gone 6-for-12 with three homers and nine RBI in his last three games, putting him firmly on the fantasy radar. The right-handed outfielder is slashing .333/.375/.762 through 21 at-bats to start the season, and he's seen more regular playing time of late with Seth Brown (oblique) facing a multi-week absence.

Byron Buxton DH | MIN
Twins' Byron Buxton: Back in lineup Thursday
Buxton (head) is in the Twins' lineup for Thursday's game against the Yankees.
Buxton was a little banged up as a result of a collision on the basepaths during Wednesday's game versus the White Sox, but he's ready to roll a day later. He will be the Twins' designated hitter and bat third against Jhony Brito.
