  • Bo Naylor C | CLE

Guardians' Bo Naylor: Posts fourth steal

Naylor went 1-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Rangers.

Naylor's putting it all together in September, going 11-for-35 (.314) with four extra-base hits and three steals across 11 games. The catcher also has an 8:6 BB:K this month. For the season, he's at a .232/.325/.429 slash line with eight home runs, four steals, 24 RBI, 25 runs scored and 11 doubles through 59 contests, though it's clear he's made some progress with regular playing time in the majors. He's also posted an 11.8 percent walk rate and 24.1 percent strikeout rate.

  • Jake Rogers C | DET

    Tigers' Jake Rogers: Resting Saturday

Rogers is not in Saturday's lineup against the Angels.

Rogers had started six of the team's last eight games, and he had eight hits across 24 at-bats in that span. He'll get a routine day of rest with Carson Kelly taking over behind the dish while hitting eighth.

  • Luke Maile C | KC

Reds' Luke Maile: Scratched with bruised hand

Maile was scratched from the lineup Saturday against the Mets due to a bruised left hand.

Tyler Stephenson had been due for a day off but will instead start behind the plate. Assuming Maile's injury doesn't turn out to be anything worse than a bruise, he should be back in the lineup soon.

  • Ryan Jeffers C | MIN

Twins' Ryan Jeffers: Absent from Saturday's lineup

Jeffers is not in Saturday's lineup against the White Sox.

The Twins have opted to alternate starts between Jeffers and Christian Vazquez since Sept. 6. Jeffers went 2-for-5 with two RBI on Friday but will give way to Vazquez -- who is hitting ninth -- on Saturday.

  • Athletics' Shea Langeliers: Sitting Saturday

Langeliers will hit the bench Saturday against the Padres.

Langeliers' 20 homers tie him for fourth among all catchers, but his .206/.268/.407 slash line is only good for a modest 85 wRC+ due to his inability to get on base. Carlos Perez starts behind the plate Saturday, catching for Mason Miller.

  • Giants' Patrick Bailey: On bench Saturday afternoon

Bailey will hit the bench for the first portion of Saturday's doubleheader against Colorado, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Blake Sabol will start behind the plate in the afternoon contest, but Bailey should return to the lineup for the nightcap. Bailey hit .329/.356/.571 in his first 20 MLB games this season, but he's since hit a modest .223/.289/.327 across 66 contests.

  • Sam Huff C | BAL

Rangers' Sam Huff: Homers in loss

Huff went 1-for-1 with a solo home run in Friday's 12-3 loss to the Guardians.

Huff entered the blowout loss late and homered as part of the Rangers' three-run ninth inning. He's made just five plate appearances since being recalled for the month of September. Both of his hits during this latest stint in the majors have been home runs.

  • Jake Rogers C | DET

Tigers' Jake Rogers: Goes deep in win

Rogers went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and three runs scored in Friday's win against the Angels.

Rogers' 17th homer of the year was a solo shot in the sixth inning Friday. It was his first extra-base hit since he homered against the Yankees on Aug. 30. Over his last 17 appearances, Rogers owns a .720 OPS with three homers and nine runs scored. His season slash line is up to .216/.283/.422 with 28 extra-base hits.

  • Athletics' Shea Langeliers: Reaches 20-homer mark

Langeliers went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 8-3 loss to the Padres.

Langeliers has homered four times over his last six games, a span in which he's gone 6-for-22 (.273). The power surge has helped him reach the 20-homer mark in his first full major-league season. The catcher has added 56 RBI, 48 runs scored, three stolen bases and a .206/.268/.407 slash line through 123 contests overall.

  • Diamondbacks' Gabriel Moreno: Racks up four hits

Moreno went 4-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Friday's 6-4 win over the Cubs.

Moreno's four-hit effort snapped a stretch of nine games without a multi-hit performance, during which he went 4-for-22 (.182). The catcher hit .327 in August, but he'd cooled off early in September. He has a .286/.333/.419 slash line with seven home runs, 43 RBI, 30 runs scored, five stolen bases and 17 doubles through 99 contests on the year.
