Barnes went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in Sunday's 6-1 win over the Mariners.

Barnes has gone 4-for-21 (.190) across six games in September, though the catcher may get some more time over Will Smith since the Dodgers clinched the NL West on Saturday. For the year, Barnes has two homers, 11 RBI, 11 runs scored, two stolen bases and a .171/.238/.232 slash line through 182 plate appearances. He will likely be a clear backup once the postseason begins.

Rogers went 2-for-3 with two home runs, a walk and four RBI in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Angels.

Rogers was the engine for the Tigers' offense in this game, hitting a solo shot in the second inning and a three-run blast a frame later. The catcher has hit safely in his last five games, going 9-for-19 (.474) with three homers and five RBI in that span. While it's a short stretch of success, it's some of his best work this season -- he's slashing .220/.289/.444 with 19 homers, 44 RBI, 45 runs scored and one stolen base through 99 contests overall.

Gomes is not in the starting lineup Sunday versus the Diamondbacks.

Gomes will get a breather after he caught all 13 innings in the Cubs' 7-6 loss to Arizona on Saturday. Miguel Amaya will take over behind the plate and bat ninth in the series finale.

Smith is out of the lineup for Sunday's game at Seattle.

Ruiz is out of the lineup Sunday versus the Brewers.

Ruiz will get a breather Sunday after playing in Saturday's night game. In his two games played versus the Brewers in the series, he has gone 1-for-9. Drew Millas gets the start at catcher and will bat seventh.

Diaz is out of the lineup for Sunday's game versus the Giants.

Diaz started in the night game of the doubleheader Saturday but not in the first game. The catcher will get the expected day off Sunday with it being a day game after a night game. In the series against the Giants, Diaz has gone 1-for-7. Austin Wynns will get the start at catcher Sunday.

Diaz is not in the lineup Sunday against the Royals.

Diaz boasts an .847 OPS with 22 home runs and 57 RBI in 97 games this season for Houston, but he's been riding the pine on a fairly regular basis since Michael Brantley (shoulder) joined the active roster. Brantley is playing left field Sunday as Yordan Alvarez fills the designated-hitter role and Martin Maldonado handles catching duties.
