Naylor is out of the lineup Wednesday versus the Royals.

Naylor was behind the plate Tuesday night, so he will get a breather for Wednesday's day game. The catcher went 2-for-8 with a home run in the first two games of the series against the Royals. In his place, Cam Gallagher will start and bat ninth.

Wong is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Rangers.

Wong is hitting .205 with one home run, five runs and three RBI in 11 September games. Reese McGuire is starting behind the dish and batting eighth.

Cartaya has been on the 7-day injured list with Double-A Tulsa since Aug. 30.

There were also rumors on X that Cartaya was placed on the development list, but nonetheless, his final game of the season was Aug. 27. Cartaya hit .189 with 19 home runs and 117 strikeouts in 93 games for the Drillers in a very disappointing first season at the level. He is already on the 40-man roster and seemingly far from helping the big-league club, so the Dodgers' long-term belief in Cartaya could be tested this offseason.

Rutschman isn't in the Orioles' lineup Tuesday versus Houston, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Despite collecting five hits across his last three games, Rutschman will take a seat to begin Tuesday's contest. James McCann will instead start behind the plate and bat eighth.

Maldonado is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against Baltimore.

Stallings is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Mets.

Nick Fortes will catch and bat ninth. Stallings grabs a day of rest after starting behind the plate in four of the Marlins' last five games.
