Astros' Cesar Salazar: Sent back to minors
The Astros optioned Salazar to Triple-A Sugar Land on Thursday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Salazar was recalled when rosters expanded to serve as the Astros' third catcher, but he's being sent back out for now. He struck out in his lone plate appearance during his brief stint in the majors.

Realmuto went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 4-2 victory over the Blue Jays.
Realmuto took Ryan Burr deep to lead off the top of the ninth inning, adding an insurance run in Philadelphia's two-run win. It's the fourth homer in 11 games for Realmuto, who's gone 14-for-32 (.326) with a 1.039 OPS in that span. The 33-year-old backstop is now slashing .261/.317/.422 through 357 plate appearances this season with 12 homers, 38 RBI, 43 runs scored and a pair of stolen bases.

Stephenson went 2-for-4 with three RBI in Wednesday's 12-5 win over the Astros.
Stephenson capped the scoring in the Reds' nine-run first inning with a two-run single and later singled in a run in the third. The three-RBI game elevated him to a career-high 58 for the season.
