Shea Langeliers C | ATH
Athletics' Shea Langeliers: Goes yard twice in win
Langeliers went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Cubs.
Both blasts came off Jordan Wicks, as Langeliers launched a two-run homer in the first inning and a solo shot in the fifth. The 26-year-old has only three hits in his last 20 at-bats, but all three have left the yard. On the season, Langeliers is slashing .220/.280/.448 with 28 homers, 74 RBI, 54 runs and four stolen bases.

Andrew Knizner C | SEA
Diamondbacks' Andrew Knizner: Outrighted to Triple-A
The Diamondbacks outrighted Knizner to Triple-A Reno on Tuesday.
Knizner cleared waivers after being removed from the 40-man roster over the weekend, but he will remain in the organization for the time being. The veteran catcher is a career .210/.279/.317 hitter over parts of six major-league seasons.

Jonah Heim C | ATH
Rangers' Jonah Heim: Plates two in win
Heim went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, two RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 13-8 win over Toronto.
Heim's two-run single in the sixth inning was the go-ahead hit in a wild back-and-forth game. Similar to years past, the second half of the season hasn't been kind to Heim (career .570 OPS post All-Star break). He entered the game 1-for-32 during September, and the lack of second-half production has cost him at-bats, as Carson Kelly has cut into Heim's playing time since being acquired at the trade deadline. Heim has 101 plate appearances since the beginning of August compared to Kelly's 88.

Gabriel Moreno C | ARI
Diamondbacks' Gabriel Moreno: Getting breather Tuesday
Moreno isn't in Arizona's lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rockies.
Moreno went 2-for-3 during his first start back from the injured list Monday, and he'll take a seat Tuesday as the D-backs ease him back into regular playing time. While he rests, Jose Herrera will catch for Jordan Montgomery and bat ninth.

Cesar Salazar C | HOU
Astros' Cesar Salazar: Back in big leagues
The Astros recalled Salazar from Triple-A Sugar Land on Tuesday.
Salazar will rejoin the big-league squad to provide the Astros with an additional bench bat as Ben Gamel (fibula) moves to the injured list. Salazar has gone 7-for-23 with eight RBI through 10 games in the majors, but he may struggle to receive playing time while serving as Houston's No. 3 catcher.

Will Smith C | LAD
Dodgers' Will Smith: Getting breather Tuesday
Smith is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest in Miami.
It's a routine day off for Smith, who had started four of the last five contests behind the plate. Hunter Feduccia is doing the catching in what will be his second career start.

Gabriel Moreno C | ARI
Diamondbacks' Gabriel Moreno: Makes first start since return
Moreno started at catcher and went 2-for-3 in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Rockies.
Moreno, who was activated off the 10-day injured list Sunday, made his first start since rejoining the team -- he was used as a pinch hitter Sunday but did not play defensively. He missed nearly all of August and the first half of September with an adductor strain. The Diamondbacks optioned rookie backstop Adrian Del Castillo to Triple-A Reno on Monday, signaling that Moreno is ready to take on near-everyday duty.
