-
Carson Kelly C | CHC
Cubs' Carson Kelly: Taking seat Sunday
Kelly is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.
Kelly will hit the bench for a second consecutive game and for the third time in the last four contests. He appears to be moving into more of a timeshare at catcher with Miguel Amaya, who will receive another turn behind the plate Sunday.
-
Hunter Goodman C | COL
Rockies' Hunter Goodman: Missing third consecutive game
Goodman (shoulder) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.
After being scratched from the lineup ahead of Saturday's 7-1 loss due to left shoulder inflammation, Goodman will wind up missing a third straight start on account of the injury. The Rockies will go with Brett Sullivan behind the plate Sunday in place of Goodman, who is being viewed as day-to-day heading into the team's three-game series with the Dodgers that begins Monday.

Luis Campusano C | SD
Padres' Luis Campusano: Receiving rest Sunday
Campusano is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians.
Campusano will get a breather Sunday after he made starts at catcher and designated hitter in the first two games of the series, going 2-for-7 with two doubles, one walk and three RBI. Freddy Fermin will step in behind the dish, while Manny Machado receives a turn as the Friars' DH.
-
Rafael Flores C | PIT
Pirates' Rafael Flores: Earning fourth straight start
Flores will start at first base and bat fifth in Sunday's game against the Red Sox.
Flores will draw his fourth consecutive start, two against right-handed pitchers and two versus lefties. With Spencer Horwitz occupying the strong side of a platoon at first base, Flores' main path to playing time will come behind the plate, where he could challenge Henry Davis for starts while Endy Rodriguez (hip) is on the shelf. Since coming off the injured list Aug. 1, Flores has done his part to earn more opportunities by going 7-for-22 with three home runs, two walks, eight RBI and three runs in seven games.

Ryan Jeffers C | MIN
Twins' Ryan Jeffers: Idle Sunday
Jeffers is out of the lineup for Minnesota's matchup with the Phillies on Sunday.

Joe Mack C | MIA
Marlins' Joe Mack: Riding pine Sunday
Mack is absent from the lineup for Sunday's game with the Reds.

-
Carlos Narvaez C | BAL
Orioles' Carlos Narvaez: Sitting after three straight starts
Narvaez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays.
Narvaez will take a seat after starting the last three games, giving way to Yohel Pozo behind the dish Sunday. Though he's been operating as the Orioles' primary backstop since being acquired from the Red Sox on Aug. 3, Narvaez will likely see a steep drop in playing time once Samuel Basallo (shoulder) is ready to return from the injured list. Basallo is set to begin a rehab assignment Sunday at Triple-A Norfolk.

Tyler Stephenson C | CIN
Reds' Tyler Stephenson: Idle Sunday
Stephenson is absent from Sunday's lineup against the Marlins.
Stephenson, who went 1-for-8 with two strikeouts during the first two games of the series, will sit out Sunday's finale. Jose Trevino will take over behind the plate and bat seventh for the Reds.
