Sanchez went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run, two runs and four RBI in the Yankees' 11-4 win over the Orioles on Tuesday.

Sanchez is locked in at the dish at the moment; this was his second straight game with a homer and four RBI and he has two multi-hit performances in his last three games. The 26-year-old backstop looks like he's put last season's well-documented struggles fully behind him, as he's sporting an excellent .263/.336/.653 slash line to go along with 14 homers and 30 RBI through 118 at-bats.

Perez was diagnosed with a concussion after leaving Tuesday's game against Oakland, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.

The Indians won't place Perez on the 7-day injured list immediately, as manager Terry Francona believes the backstop is only dealing with a mild concussion. In any case, Kevin Plawecki should take over primary duties behind the plate while Perez is sidelined.

Garver (ankle) took light swings and did some light jogging Tuesday, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Garver landed on the 10-day injured list with the high left ankle sprain last week, and was originally given a 2-to-3 week recovery timetable. The 28-year-old could still return within that window but may also require a minor-league rehab assignment. Jason Castro and Willians Astudillo will continue to split time behind the plate in his absence.

Perez was removed from Tuesday's game against the Athletics to be evaluated for a head injury, Ryan Lewis of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Perez went 0-for-2 with a strikeout prior to exiting after the fourth inning. Kevin Plawecki has taken over behind the plate for Cleveland.

Mejia (knee) will make a rehab appearance for Triple-A El Paso on Tuesday, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

It will be the first on-field action for the 23-year-old backstop since he hit the injured list with a knee sprain on May 11. He's eligible to return at anytime, so assuming he makes it through a few games without any setbacks, he should return to the Padres in the near future.

McCann is out of Tuesday's lineup against the Astros.

He sits for the third time in the last seven games. Welington Castillo will start behind the dish, hitting cleanup against righty Justin Verlander.

Diaz is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Rockies.

Diaz started four straight games, going 8-for-16 at the plate. It's not yet clear whether that was simply a brief audition in the primary role or if Francisco Cervelli's .179/.269/.236 season slash line will keep him on the bench in favor of Diaz on a more regular basis moving forward.

Barnhart is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Dodgers.

Barnhart remains the Reds' top catcher, but he's fallen into a strong-side platoon and will now be on the bench for the fourth time in five games with Cincinnati running into a glut of lefties. Curt Casali checks in behind the plate and will bat seventh versus Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw.

Maile went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Monday's loss to the Red Sox.

The Jays only managed three hits off David Price and the Boston bullpen, and Maile's second-inning homer accounted for all of Toronto's offense on the afternoon. The backup catcher is slashing just .148/.193/.278 through 20 games with two home runs and four RBI, and with Danny Jansen's bat starting to come around, Maile's opportunities for playing time could shrink even further.

Realmuto went 2-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored, two RBI and a stolen base in Monday's 5-4 extra-inning win over the Cubs.

His RBI single in the sixth inning got the Phillies on the board, then his solo shot off Ken Ryan in the 10th gave them the win. Realmuto has been as advertised in his first season with Philly, slashing .277/.333/.453 through 44 games with six homers and 29 RBI.
