Jake Rogers C | DET
Tigers' Jake Rogers: Leads offense Saturday
Rogers went 2-for-3 with a run scored in Saturday's 6-1 loss to the Blue Jays.
Rogers had the only two hits for Detroit and scored the team's lone run despite hitting in the nine spot in the lineup. It was the catcher's first multi-hit performance since June 13 and just his third of the year. This season has been a struggle for Rogers, who's slashing .184/.292/.316, and he's clearly fallen behind Dillon Dingler on the Tigers' depth chart.

Drew Millas C | WAS
Nationals' Drew Millas: Three-hit performance
Millas went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 9-3 win over the Twins.
Millas didn't drive in a run during the Nationals' blowout win, but he did notch his first three-hit game of the 2025 season. The catcher entered Saturday hitting 3-for-14 with a double, a stolen base and three RBI over seven games. His recent opportunity at the big-league level has come due to Keibert Ruiz (concussion) being sidelined.

Cal Raleigh C | SEA
Mariners' Cal Raleigh: First to 40 homers
Raleigh went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Saturday's 7-2 win over the Angels.
Raleigh put the Mariners ahead for good in the sixth inning, launching his 40th homer of the year out to right field. This was his first multi-hit effort since the All-Star break, but he has hit safely in seven of his last eight games, going 8-for-34 (.235) with two homers in that span. He's got two months to work with to surpass Salvador Perez's record 48 homers by a catcher in a season. Raleigh is slashing .257/.369/.614 with 85 RBI, 70 runs scored, 12 stolen bases and 16 doubles through 102 games in 2025.

Jeferson Quero C | MIL
Brewers' Jeferson Quero: Out 3-to-4 weeks
Quero was placed on Triple-A Nashville's injured list and will miss 3-to-4 weeks due to a mild left shoulder sprain, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Quero was pulled from Wednesday's contest after four innings as he appeared to hurt his shoulder while trying to tag out a baserunner earlier in the game. The young backstop missed most of the 2024 campaign due to a torn labrum in his right shoulder, but this appears to be a milder injury to the other shoulder and shouldn't keep him out for the remainder of the campaign. Quero could be back in action in late August if he hits his expected return timeframe.

Freddy Fermin C | SD
Royals' Freddy Fermin: Lifts third homer
Fermin went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in a 6-4 loss to the Guardians in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader.
Fermin went 0-for-1 as a pinch hitter in the day game before spelling Salvador Perez behind the dish in the nightcap. While Fermin has carved out a decent share of playing time in July, he has gone just 4-for-23 (.174) with seven strikeouts over his last 10 games. Overall, the catcher is slashing .262/.315/.350 with three homers, 10 RBI, 16 runs scored, seven doubles and no stolen bases across 198 plate appearances this year.

Shea Langeliers C | ATH
Athletics' Shea Langeliers: Launches 15th homer of 2025
Langeliers went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Astros.
Langeliers smacked a home run for a second straight game, as he took Bennett Sousa deep to left-center field for a solo shot in the sixth. The 27-year-old backstop has been hot at the plate since the All-Star break, logging at least one hit in eight of his nine games and going 14-for-35 (.400) with four home runs and 10 RBI over that span.

Alejandro Kirk C | TOR
Blue Jays' Alejandro Kirk: Being evaluated for concussion
Kirk is undergoing tests to determine if he has a concussion after he took a foul tip off his mask Saturday versus Detroit, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Kirk initially remained behind the plate after being dinged by the foul tip, but he was pulled for a pinch hitter in the following frame. Should Kirk need to miss any games moving forward, Tyler Heineman figures to step in as Toronto's starting backstop.

Alejandro Kirk C | TOR
Blue Jays' Alejandro Kirk: Exits early Saturday
Kirk (undisclosed) was removed from Saturday's game against Detroit after taking a foul tip off his mask in the third inning, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.
Kirk initially remained in the game on defense after taking the foul tip, but he was removed for a pinch hitter in the following frame. The Blue Jays will presumably provide an update on the reason for Kirk's removal during or shortly after Saturday's contest. Tyler Heineman stepped behind the plate for the Blue Jays and would likely take over as the team's primary backstop if Kirk needs to miss additional time.
-
Bo Naylor C | CLE
Guardians' Bo Naylor: Sitting for nightcap
Naylor isn't in the lineup for the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Royals.
After going 1-for-3 with two RBI during a loss in Game 1, Naylor will rest his legs during the final game of the day. Austin Hedges will replace him behind the plate and bat ninth.

Patrick Bailey C | SF
Giants' Patrick Bailey: Idle Saturday
Bailey isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Mets, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
After tallying four hits over his last three games, Bailey will step out of the lineup against left-handed starter David Peterson. Andrew Knizner will get the nod to start at catcher instead Saturday, batting ninth.
