Francisco Alvarez C | NYM
Mets' Francisco Alvarez: Collects three hits
Alvarez went 3-for-5 with a run scored and two RBI in Monday's win against Texas.
Alvarez singled and scored in the fifth inning before delivering RBI base hits in the sixth and eighth frames. He entered Monday's game in a 2-for-14 (.143) slump since returning from the injured list. Alvarez produced his first multi-hit game since April 11. He's now slashing .243/.282/.338 with 12 RBI through 23 games this season.

Rafael Marchan C | PHI
Phillies' Rafael Marchan: Has career day vs Padres
Marchan went 4-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 9-2 victory over the Padres.
In his third big-league game since 2021, Marchan had a banner night, reaching base in each of his four at-bats and driving in a pair. On Friday, he hit his first home run, and he followed it up nicely with this showing. With J.T. Realmuto going down with a knee injury, Marchan's only competition for playing time is Garrett Stubbs, whose current slash line of .191/.267/.206 leaves a lot to be desired.

William Contreras C | MIL
Brewers' William Contreras: Available off bench
Contreras (head) is available to pinch-hit or enter the game defensively off the bench Monday versus the Angels, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Contreras will be forced to miss his second contest of the season after taking a shot to the head while applying the tag at home plate to finish Sunday's 5-4 win over the Reds, but manager Pat Murphy said Monday that the catcher "is going to be fine." Contreras appears to have avoided any significant injury, which is music to the ears of fantasy managers who have reaped the benefits of his stellar play in 2024.

William Contreras C | MIL
Brewers' William Contreras: Not starting Monday
Contreras (head) is not in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Angels.
Contreras was evaluated for concussion following Sunday's 5-4 win over the Reds after his head collided with Stuart Fairchild on a tag at home plate in the ninth inning. With Contreras out for the series opener Monday, Gary Sanchez will start behind home plate and bat eighth against Halos right-hander Jose Soriano.

Luis Campusano DH | SD
Padres' Luis Campusano: Sitting against lefty again
Campusano is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Phillies.
The Padres seem to have opted for a de facto platoon at catcher of late, even though both Campusano and Kyle Higashioka are right-handed hitters. Higashioka will stick in the lineup Monday for the fourth time in the Padres' last five matchups with lefties, while Campusano will take a seat. Campusano should still see the bulk of the playing time behind the dish as the Padres' preferred option against righties.

Garrett Stubbs C | PHI
Phillies' Garrett Stubbs: Out of lineup Monday
Stubbs is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Padres.
Stubbs has now made four starts to Rafael Marchan's three since J.T. Realmuto (knee) landed on the shelf after undergoing meniscus surgery. Marchan will handle the catching duties Monday, forming a battery with starting pitcher Cristopher Sanchez.

Luis Torrens C | NYM
Mets' Luis Torrens: Pops third homer
Torrens went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Sunday's win over the Padres.
Facing the team he made his big-league debut with back in 2017, Torrens took Jeremiah Estrada deep in the eighth inning. The 28-year-old catcher has started his Mets tenure off with a bang, batting .318 (7-for-22) in his first eight games for the club with three homers, but he remains firmly in the backup role behind Francisco Alvarez.

Willson Contreras 1B | STL
Cardinals' Willson Contreras: Could be activated June 24
Contreras (forearm) could be activated from the 10-day injured list as soon as next Monday, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.
Contreras will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Memphis on Tuesday and might require less than a week of rehab games before rejoining the Cardinals lineup. Woo cautions that the catcher's timeline for rejoining the big club remains tentative, and a firmer return date may not come into focus until Contreras gets a few rehab games under his belt.

Jason Delay C | ATL
Pirates' Jason Delay: Drives in three
Delay went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and three RBI in Sunday's 8-2 win over the Rockies.
Delay drew his first start since being recalled Saturday and delivered a key three-RBI double in the sixth inning to put the Pirates up 6-0. He's likely to remain the backup catcher behind Yasmani Grandal while Henry Davis (concussion) is sidelined, but Delay could push for more regular at-bats with Grandal performing poorly.

Pedro Pages C | STL
Cardinals' Pedro Pages: Provides offense in win
Pages went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in Sunday's 2-1 win over the Cubs.
Pages has homered in two of his last three games, and his second-inning blast was all the run support Miles Mikolas needed in Sunday's win. It's been a challenging first season for Pages, who has a .132/.239/.316 slash line over 46 plate appearances, but he's received more playing time this week at the expense of Ivan Herrera.
