Jansen is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays.

Jansen is just receiving a breather after drawing each of the past three turns behind the dish. The recently recalled Reese McGuire will step in at catcher Sunday for his first start at the MLB level in 2019.

Narvaez went 4-for-5 with two runs scored in a win over Detroit on Saturday.

Narvaez was unable to rack up any RBI as all four of his hits were singles, and he never batted with a runner in scoring position. The 27-year-old is enjoying a productive season in which he's slashing .298/.369/.483 with 16 home runs in 90 games.

Nola went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, three RBI, a double and a triple in Saturday's 8-1 win over the Tigers.

Nola delivered an extra-base hit with two runners on base twice Saturday to record his second three-RBI performance of the season. The 29-year-old has started six of the last eight games and is 9-for-27 with two doubles, a triple, a home run and six RBI in that stretch. Nola could continue to see increased opportunities while Dee Gordon (quadriceps) remains on the injured list.

Perez was optioned to Triple-A Durham following Saturday's loss to Toronto, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Perez joined the Rays prior to Friday's contest but did not see the field during his two-day stay in the majors. The Rays will likely bring up a reliever Sunday to bolster their bullpen depth.

D'Arnaud went 2-for-5 with a three-run homer Saturday in a 10-9 defeat to the Blue Jays.

D'Arnaud connected for a home run off Ryan Borucki to increase the Tampa Bay lead to 6-1 in the second inning. The 30-year-old backstop did not have any homers at the end of May but has now recorded 12 round-trippers in 34 games in June and July and has driven in 36 of his 40 RBI since June 1.

McGuire was recalled from Triple-A Buffalo on Saturday, Scott Mitchell of TSN.ca reports.

Luke Maile (strained oblique) landed on the injured list in a corresponding move, so McGuire will serve as the Jays' backup catcher in the short term. He is hopping on a flight but will not make it to Toronto before the first pitch against the Rays.

Maile was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday with left oblique strain, Scott Mitchell of TSN.ca reports.

He suffered the injury during batting practice Saturday. Reese McGuire will be promoted from Triple-A in a corresponding move and will replace Maile as the backup catcher in Toronto.

Murphy, who was just added back to Triple-A Las Vegas' active roster Wednesday after recovering from a knee injury, went 3-for-5 with three home runs and six RBI in a 20-11 win over El Paso on Friday.

The wild slugfest was a microcosm of life in the Pacific Coast League this season, but Murphy's trio of round trippers was an undeniably impressive feat and came after he homered Thursday as well. The promising backstop has been effective for the Aviators when he has been healthy in 2019, slashing .341/.412/.610 across 21 games.

D'Arnaud went 1-for-4 with a two-run single in a win over the Blue Jays on Friday.

The hot-hitting veteran snapped a 1-1 tie with infield single in the fifth inning, plating the two runs that would ultimately prove to be the final margin of victory for the Rays. It's been a momentous July for d'Arnaud, who's driven in 18 runs with the help of nine extra-base hits (three doubles, six home runs) while drawing starts at both catcher and first base.

Thaiss went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Friday's loss to the Orioles.

Thaiss launched his second career home run, a two-run shot off Asher Wojciechowski to put the Angels on the board in the fifth inning. Despite getting the start, the 24-year-old has struggled to land a consistent spot in the lineup. Through 30 at-bats, Thaiss is hitting just .133/.212/.367.
