    The 23-year-old will rejoin the Twins on Sunday with Max Kepler (hamstring) landing on the injured list. Rortvedt will provide catching depth behind Mitch Garver and Willians Astudillo.

    Perez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run during Saturday's 6-5 loss at Minnesota.

    The 31-year-old put the Royals on the board during the third inning with his first homer since May 15. Perez has a .277/.307/.487 slash line, 10 home runs, 11 doubles, 31 RBI and 21 runs in 50 games this season.
