Heim isn't in the starting lineup for Saturday's contest against Houston.

Heim will begin on the bench after starting behind the plate in each of the Rangers' previous two games. He'll give way to Kyle Higashioka, who returned from a stint on the injured list Tuesday.

Dingler isn't part of the Tigers' lineup for Saturday's game against Toronto.

Dingler started each of Detroit's last five games, and he'll get a rest day Saturday against Eric Lauer and the Blue Jays. In Dingler's place, Tomas Nido will catch and bat ninth. In 127 plate appearances, Dingler is slashing .270/.299/.434.

Kirk isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Detroit.

Kirk will get a day to reset after going 0-for-8 with a strikeout over his last two games. Tyler Heineman will catch for Eric Lauer instead and bat eighth.

Wells isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Mets.

Wells will grab a seat on the bench Saturday after going 0-for-3 with a walk in Friday's series opener. J.C. Escarra will take over behind the plate and bat seventh.

Quero is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Reds.

Quero will get a breather for the day game after he started at catcher in both of the first two games of the series in Cincinnati. Matt Thaiss will receive a turn behind the dish, forming a battery with starting pitcher Bryse Wilson.

Vazquez went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Orioles.

The veteran backstop took Dean Kremer deep in the fourth inning, giving Vazquez his first long ball of the year. He's added little offense in general to begin the campaign -- Vazquez's .193/.277/.316 slash line through 57 plate appearances has him on pace to record a sub-.600 OPS for the third straight year.

Kirk went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Rays.

Kirk was removed from Sunday's win over the Mariners after being hit in the head on a Julio Rodriguez backswing, but the catcher passed the league's concussion protocols and was cleared to return Wednesday. Kirk's return turned out to be the difference as he supplied the Jays' run total with a three-run blast in the sixth inning. It was his third home run of the season, and the 26-year-old catcher is slashing .293/.318/.398 with 16 RBI in 129 plate appearances.

O'Hoppe is not in the Angels' starting lineup against the Padres on Wednesday.

O'Hoppe will get a breather Wednesday while Travis d'Arnaud starts behind home plate and bats sixth. O'Hoppe has struggled at the plate as of late, going 5-for-29 with three RBI and a 33.3 percent strikeout rate over his last nine games.

Caratini will start at catcher and bat sixth in Wednesday's game against the Royals.

Caratini has been a beneficiary of Yordan Alvarez's (hand) recent move to the injured list, which has freed up a regular spot in the lineup at designated hitter. The Astros haven't settled on any one player to replace Alvarez, but because top backstop Yainer Diaz has been included in the DH rotation, Caratini has seen his playing time pick up. Caratini will be making his fourth start in five games Wednesday.

Heim is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rockies.

Kyle Higashioka will draw a start behind the plate while Heim takes a seat for the second time in the series. Heim still appears to be the Rangers' preferred option behind the plate, though he'll likely be subject to more frequent rest days now that Higashioka is back in the fold after a recent stint on the injured list.
