Josh H. Smith SS | TEX
Rangers' Josh Smith: Back in lineup
Smith started at third base and went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Sunday's 6-5 extra-inning win over Minnesota.
Smith, who was given a break Saturday after starting eight games in seven days, was back in the lineup and stole his eighth base. A strong first half put him on fantasy radars, but a .202/.264/.294 line since the All-Star break is more in line with Smith's production from previous seasons.

Manny Machado 3B | SD
Padres' Manny Machado: Launches 19th homer
Machado went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Rockies.
Machado went 5-for-13 with two extra-base hits during the three-game series at Colorado. The third baseman has 19 homers on the year, including six over his last 18 contests as he's found more consistent power in the second half. He's added a .271/.322/.449 slash line, 71 RBI, 60 runs scored, 23 doubles and six stolen bases over 116 games.

Austin Riley 3B | ATL
Braves' Austin Riley: X-rays inconclusive
Riley (hand) is set to undergo further evaluation after initial X-rays and testing were inconclusive Sunday, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Riley was forced to exit Sunday's game against the Angels after being hit by a pitch in his right hand. There should be a clearer timeline for his potential return to the lineup Tuesday, as Atlanta is off Monday.

Josh Jung 3B | TEX
Rangers' Josh Jung: Provides two key hits in win
Jung went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Sunday's 6-5 extra-inning win over the Twins.
Jung put the Rangers ahead for the first time with a seventh-inning solo shot. That lead didn't hold, but he added a single in the 10th inning that forced an error and led to the winning run scoring. Jung has hit safely in nine of his last 10 games, going 11-for-43 (.256) in that span, though his homer was his first since Aug. 4. The third baseman is slashing .274/.295/.476 with four homers, nine RBI, eight runs scored, three doubles, a triple and one stolen base over 21 contests this season.

Chisholm (elbow) was spotted taking grounders at third base prior to Sunday's game against the Tigers, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Gio Urshela 3B | MIN
Gio Urshela: Parts ways with Detroit
The Tigers placed Urshela on unconditional release waivers Sunday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
The veteran infielder was designated for assignment by Detroit on Friday, and he won't stick in the organization after passing through waivers unclaimed. Urshela posted a .243/.286/.333 slash line with five homers and 37 RBI in 92 games for the Tigers this season.

Austin Riley 3B | ATL
Braves' Austin Riley: Exits after HBP
Riley was removed from Sunday's game against the Angels after being hit by a pitch on his right hand, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
The third baseman initially stayed in to run the bases after being struck on the hand by a 97-mph sinker in the top of the first inning, but he was replaced in the field by Luke Williams for the bottom of the frame. Riley is likely headed for X-rays, leaving his availability up in the air heading into Tuesday's series opener versus the Phillies.

Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA
Angels' Anthony Rendon: Absence continuing Sunday
Rendon (elbow) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Atlanta, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
The 34-year-old will sit for the second straight game after being hit by a pitch on the right elbow Friday. Rendon isn't expected to require a trip to the injured list, but he may need another day or two before rejoining the lineup. Brandon Drury will shift to the hot corner Sunday while Michael Stefanic receives a start at second base.

Max Muncy 3B | LAD
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Could be activated Monday
Muncy (oblique) is traveling to Los Angeles and could be activated for Monday's series opener versus the Mariners, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
The Dodgers were planning to reinstate the 33-year-old for Tuesday's contest, but Freddie Freeman's finger injury could necessitate a trip to the injured list and move that timeline up a day. Muncy has gone 6-for-21 with a double and a homer during his six-game rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City, and he's ready to rejoin the active roster after spending three months on the injured list due to a strained oblique.

Isaac Paredes 3B | HOU
Cubs' Isaac Paredes: Scratched with shoulder issue
Paredes was scratched from Sunday's lineup against the Blue Jays due to right shoulder discomfort, Andy Martinez of Marquee Sports Network reports.
It's unclear when Paredes suffered the injury, but he struggled over the past few games and went 0-for-11 with two strikeouts. The 25-year-old will have Monday's team off day to aid in his recovery ahead of Tuesday's series opener versus Detroit. Patrick Wisdom has replaced Paredes at third base for Sunday's contest.
