Muncy's contract was purchased by the Dodgers on Tuesday, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Muncy has played well at Triple-A Oklahoma City since the season got underway. Over nine games he's gone 10-for-32 (.313) with two home runs and six walks. He'll likely serve as a utility option for the big club, as he's spent time in the outfield as well as at first, second and third base.

The Reds do not have any immediate plans to call Senzel up from Triple-A Louisville, MLB.com's Mark Sheldon reports. "The most important thing is to make sure we're all convinced that he is ready to be here and playing productively," Reds general manager Dick Williams said on Monday. "A lot goes into that. It's just making sure his confidence is in the right place and the approach we're seeing is right and he is doing it consistently. Bringing a guy like that up, you want him to come and stay. You want it to be more dictated by his performance and confidence as opposed to being dictated by the situation here."

To that end, Senzel has started off hitting .233/.283/.349 with Louisville over the course of 10 games. Senzel has passed the point where the Reds get an extra year of control over him by keeping him in the minors, so as soon as he starts to demonstrate some dominance at the plate, a promotion could be forthcoming.

Alvarez is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Tigers, Brittany Ghiroli of MLB.com reports.

As per usual, Alvarez will hit the bench with a left-handed pitcher (Francisco Liriano) toeing the rubber for the opposition. In his place, Danny Valencia will draw the start at designated hitter.

Rendon (toe) is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Mets.

This marks the fourth consecutive game in which Rendon will not start. It doesn't seem like the Nationals plan to put him on the disabled list, but since the team can only backdate a DL stint three days, a decision may have to be made on that front sooner rather than later. Wilmer Difo will take over at third base Tuesday.

Duffy was placed on the 10-day disabled list after injuring his hamstring, Bill Chastain of MLB.com reports.

Duffy left Monday's game against the Rangers with what was initially described as hamstring tightness. It's now being described as a hamstring strain, and he'll be out a minimum of 10 days. Brandon Snyder was called up to take his place on the roster. He'll likely fight for playing time with Daniel Robertson at third base.

Kieboom went 1-for-4 with a walk and a grand slam Monday for High-A Potomac in a 9-4 win over Salem.

The Nats' No. 3 fantasy prospect has had a bit of a slow start to the season, hitting .212 (11-for-52) through 12 games, but he now has four homers and 11 RBI -- with two of the blasts and eight of the steaks coming in the last four games. Kieboom played at three levels last season, so the Nats will likely leave him in the Carolina League for a while to get settled, but if he stays healthy and begins to dominate at the plate, the 20-year-old could make his Double-A debut before the year is out.

Moncada went 1-for-3 with a stolen base in Monday's 8-1 loss to the Athletics.

This was Moncada's first stolen base (and attempt) of the season, which we find somewhat surprising. Moncada's speed has become a less significant part of his offense as he ascended the minor-league levels, but he's well off last season's pace, when he stole a combined 20 bags in 134 games between Triple-A Charlotte and Chicago. Part of his drop in attempts may be due to his success rate. While successful 20 times last year, he was caught 10 other times. We suspect as he learns how to read major-league pitchers, there will be more attempted steals.

Robinson entered Monday's game at shortstop after Jurickson Profar was pulled to undergo concussion protocol. He went 1-for-2 and scored a run in an 8-4 loss to the Rays.

The hit snapped an 0-for-13 slide for Robinson, who entered the game 1-for-23 over the previous six games. He has some infield experience, but just three games at shortstop during his career. With Elvis Andrus (elbow) and Rougned Odor (hamstring) unavailable, a lingering injury to Profar leaves the Rangers scrambling at the keystone. Robinson and Isiah Kiner-Falefa will hold down the starting jobs, pending Profar's prognosis.

Paredes is 9-for-37 (.243) with seven RBI, two home runs and three extra-base hits to begin the year at High-A Lakeland.

One of the youngest players in the league, Paredes only had 12 career home runs coming into 2018. Though the sample size is small, the 19-year-old seems to have increased his pop, as he sports a career-high .271 ISO. Even though he's hitting for more power, Paredes' contact rate is still a solid 81 percent, showing his advanced ability to square up pitches. The lauded prospect is someone to watch in dynasty formats, even though his ETA isn't until 2020.

Duffy left Monday's game with right hamstring tightness.

The Rays are considering Duffy day-to-day for now, although he'll be evaluated again Tuesday, at which point it should become clear if he'll need to miss an extended period of time. If Duffy is unavailable to play, expect Daniel Robertson to see time at the hot corner.
