Peterson is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Royals and is expected to lose out on a full-time role at second base following the activation of Jonathan Schoop (oblique) from the 10-day disabled list.

Peterson had started in nine of the Orioles' past 10 games, with eight of those assignments coming at second base. Though Schoop's return will close off his path to regular playing time at the keystone, Peterson could soon factor more prominently into the mix in right field with the primary starter at that position, Anthony Santander, hitting just .202/.245/.315 on the season and likely in need of some more development time in the minors. Once May 12 arrives, Santander, a 2016 Rule 5 draft pick, will have accrued 90 days of big-league service time, which would make him eligible to be optioned to the minors. Even if Santander is sent to Triple-A Norfolk or Double-A Bowie at that time, Peterson likely wouldn't make for an overly appealing fantasy option due to the lack of power and poor on-base skills he has exhibited through parts of five seasons in the big leagues.

LeMahieu (hamstring) is expected to return from the disabled list prior to Tuesday's game against the Angels, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

There had been some uncertainty as to whether LeMahieu would be ready to return after missing the minimum 10 days, but it appears that will indeed be the case. He's expected to rejoin Colorado's lineup Tuesday, at which point he'll look to continue his strong start to the season. Before landing on the disabled list, LeMahieu had hit .290/.367/.505 with five home runs over 27 games.

Segura (head) is starting at shortstop and hitting second Tuesday against the Blue Jays, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Segura won't be forced to miss any further action after exiting Sunday's game early with a headache. The 28-year-old will look to continue his solid start to the season, as he's hitting .290/.315/.420 with a pair of homers and five swiped bags in 33 games. He'll matchup against Marcus Stroman in this one.

Rendon went 2-for-4 with a walk, two doubles, two runs scored and an RBI in Monday's win over the Padres.

With Bryce Harper getting a day off, Rendon moved up to hit third Monday and had his first multi-hit performance since coming off the disabled list. The 27-year-old has quickly shaken off any rust from his toe injury, and he seems headed for a very productive summer.

Robinson (hip) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Monday, T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com reports.

Robinson will head to the disabled list after being scratched from Monday's game against the Tigers. He appeared to suffer the injury during Monday's pregame warmups, and the injury ended up being more serious than originally thought. Robinson will be replaced by Eliezer Alvarez and is eligible to return from the DL on May 15.

Robinson apparently picked up the injury during Monday's pregame exercises. The severity of the issue remains unclear, but Renato Nunez will enter the lineup in Robinson's place, starting at third base and batting ninth.

Candelario (thumb) is hitting second and playing third base Monday against the Rangers.

Candelario was out of Sunday's lineup due to a jammed thumb, though it appears that reports stating it was a minor injury were correct. He'll resume his normal spot in the order, looking to build off the four homers and 14 RBI he has this season.

Davis is dominating at the Triple-A level, Jake Kaplan of The Athletic Houston reports.

Since being demoted to Triple-A Fresno, Davis is hitting .425/.474/.655 in 97 plate appearances. He got into nine games for the Astros earlier this season while Yulieski Gurriel was injured, but it will probably take another injury to get him back onto a stacked major-league roster.

Rivera went 1-for-3 with two walks in Sunday's win over the Reds, but he also committed his first two errors of the season.

The 26-year-old has seen little action this season behind Miguel Rojas at shortstop, and Rivera's anemic .148/.258/.148 slash line in 31 plate appearances and unreliable defense aren't doing anything to change that. Expect him to be replaced on the roster by JT Riddle as soon as the Marlins are confident Riddle is fully recovered from his shoulder injury.

Rendon went 1-for-4 with two RBI in Sunday's win over the Phillies.

His bases-loaded single to left in the eighth inning was one of the key hits in the Nats' come-from-behind victory, and was also his first hit since coming off the disabled list Saturday. Rendon now sports a .274/.357/.387 slash line through 16 games this season, but expect his power numbers to rise quickly once he's back in rhythm at the plate.
