Moustakas went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Tuesday's win over the Tigers.

Moustakas got the scoring started early in this one, cranking his 20th home run of the season in the first inning. He's hitting just .169 over 59 at-bats in July to drop his average on the season down to .247, but the 29-year-old remains on track to top 30 homers for the second consecutive year.

Longoria (hand, triceps) is likely to resume his minor-league rehab assignment with Triple-A Sacramento on Wednesday, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic Bay Area reports.

Longoria was hit by a pitch in the left triceps Sunday, and although he was able to remain in the game, the Giants will give him another game or two with the River Cats. The veteran third baseman did not play in Tuesday's game but expects to return to the lineup Wednesday. The 32-year-old appears on track to return as the Giants host the Brewers this weekend.

Longoria (hand, triceps) will not be activated Tuesday, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

There was some speculation that Longoria could come off the disabled list for this game, but that will have to wait until Wednesday in Seattle, at the earliest. He was rehabbing a hand injury and was hit by a pitch on his left triceps in Sunday's rehab game.

Chapman went 3-for-5 with four RBI from a run-scoring single and a three-run home run while scoring twice overall in a win over the Rangers on Monday.

Chapman sent a 396-foot shot into the left-field bleachers in the seventh, bringing home Khris Davis and Stephen Piscotty to extend the Athletics' lead to 11-2 at the time. It was the 25-year-old's third straight multi-hit effort, and fourth overall in the last five games. Chapman also doubled up his July RBI total to eight with Monday's performance -- his first game driving in multiple runs since May 17.

Machado made his first start of the season at third base Monday, going 1-for-5 with a triple and a run scored in a 7-6 win over the Phillies.

Justin Turner (groin) was placed on the disabled list Monday, and Machado will garner most starts at the hot corner in his stead, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports. This news doesn't affect the stud's immense fantasy value this season, but it could preserve Machado's third-base eligibility for the 2019 campaign.

Escobar went 2-for-3 with a triple, two RBI and a walk in Monday's 8-3 win over Toronto.

Escobar tripled home a run in the first inning, and he brought in a run on a single to left field in the fourth. The 29-year-old has gone 5-for-13 with two extra-base hits and three RBI in four games since the beginning of the second half.

Muncy went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, two RBI and a walk Monday in a 7-6 victory over Philadelphia.

Muncy went deep in the first inning to get his team on the board, and he plated another run in the seventh on a sacrifice fly to tie the game. He's exhibited plenty of power during July, as he's batting .318 with six home runs and 10 RBI over 18 games. Muncy sits with 34 extra-base hits, a .613 slugging percentage and an eye-popping 1.025 OPS through 78 games this season.

Moustakas is not in the lineup against the Tigers on Monday, Maria Torres of the Kansas City Star reports.

Moustakas will head to the bench after going 1-for-9 with two runs scored during a three-game set versus Minnesota this past weekend. Hunter Dozier will make an appearance at the hot corner while Salvador Perez gets a start at first base for the series opener against southpaw Francisco Liriano.

Chapman went 2-for-5 with a game-winning RBI single in an extra-inning victory over the Giants on Sunday.

Chapman stepped into the batter's box with two outs in the 10th inning and men on first and second. He promptly laced a 2-2 pitch into shallow right center that brought home Marcus Semien with the winning run. It was an extension of a current hot streak for the infielder, who's churned out multi-hit efforts in three of the past four games and is hitting a solid .281 over 64 plate appearances in July.

Valencia is not in the lineup against Boston on Monday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

Valencia will retreat to the bench after going 1-for-4 with a double and three strikeouts during Sunday's loss to Toronto. In his place, Jace Peterson will man right field and bat ninth.
