Bregman went 1-for-4 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Friday's 9-3 win over the Angels.

Bregman extended his streak of reaching base safely to 21 games with a fifth-inning single. The third-year infielder raised his on-base percentage to .384, ranking him 15th in MLB. Getting on base that often in the Astros lineup will lead to runs, which it has for Bregman, who has a team-high 83 runs scored (T-10th in MLB).

Chapman went 1-for-5 with a three-run homer in Friday's win over the Twins.

Chapman clubbed a three-run shot -- his 18th of the year -- off reliever Oliver Drake in the eighth inning, marking his fifth homer in his last 18 games. The 25-year-old is hitting .273/.359/.506 with 31 doubles, 48 RBI and 77 runs scored on the year. For good measure, Chapman has six triples, giving him the eighth-most extra-base hits (55) among MLB third basemen.

Muncy cracked a two-run homer in a pinch-hit appearance Friday against the Padres.

The long ball was Muncy's 29th of the season, and his .584 slugging percentage would rank fifth in the majors if he qualified. The Dodgers' trade-deadline acquisitions have put a slight dent into the slugger's everyday status, but Muncy is still seeing enough playing time against righties to remain a strong fantasy asset.

Arenado went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Friday's loss to the Cardinals.

Arenado took Miles Mikolas deep in the fifth inning for his 31st homer of the year and is now slashing .309/.390/.578 on the season. Arenado's .968 OPS trails only Jose Ramirez (1.024) among MLB third basemen, and he ranks in the top five at the position in home runs, runs and RBI.

Suarez hit a game-tying homer Friday afternoon against the Cubs in a game that the Reds ultimately lost in extra innings.

Suarez continues to reach career highs and we're still just in August. He now has 29 homers and 93 RBI, both well past his previous best, and he entered play Friday with an OPS of .928, .100 points over 2017's previous best.

Segura (ribs) is in the lineup Friday against the Diamondbacks, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Segura left Wednesday's game after tweaking his rib cage. Thursday's off day was apparently enough time for him to recover and return to the lineup. He'll bat third and play shortstop.

Alvarez was moved to the 7-day disabled list Friday due to an Achilles injury, David Hall of The Virginian-Pilot reports.

Alvarez has posted a .285/.331/.467 slash line with eight homers and 32 RBI through 43 games at Triple-A Norfolk in 2018. The severity of the injury is currently unclear, so it's unknown if he'll require more than the minimum on the shelf.

LeMahieu will head to the bench for Friday's contest against the Cardinals, Kyle Newman of The Denver Post reports.

LeMahieu sits for the first time since Aug. 1. Ryan McMahon will get the start at second base in his absence.

Astudillo was recalled from Triple-A Rochester on Friday.

Astudillo is nominally a catcher, but didn't catch once during his eight-game stint with the Twins earlier in the season, though he did appear at five other positions, including pitcher. He appears to be up as the backup catcher this time around, as he's up to replace Bobby Wilson, who landed on the disabled list with an ankle sprain in a corresponding move. Astudillo is known for his allergy to all three true outcomes (walks, strikeouts, and home runs), and he's largely been true to form this season, walking just 3.3 percent of the time while posting a miniscule 4.6 percent strikeout rate. He could be finally starting to show some power, though, as he's hit 12 homers in 77 Triple-A games.

Riley went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a second run scored for Triple-A Gwinnett in Thursday's win over Durham.

The Bulls' pitching staff will be very glad to see Riley leave town -- in five games over the last three days including two doubleheaders, the Braves' top fantasy prospect has gone 5-for-15 with a double and three homers. Riley now sports a .280/.325/.547 slash line through 20 games in August, and while his plate discipline (3:23 BB:K on the month) remains something of a concern, the 21-year-old's prodigious power has him on track to make his big-league debut early next season.
