Peterson will make his third consecutive start, including his second in a row at the hot corner. The Orioles' decision to demote Rio Ruiz to Triple-A Norfolk opens up some playing time for Peterson, but if the 29-year-old's previous record at the major-league level is any indication, he'll likely fail to take advantage. Over 1,537 career plate appearances, Peterson owns a .229/.318/.329 line (77 wRC+).

Muncy went 2-for-4 with a walk, three runs and an RBI in Saturday's 9-3 win over the Nationals.

Muncy made his second consecutive start at second base in the contest and looks on track to see most of his playing time at that position for the foreseeable future with Enrique Hernandez (hand) on track to join Chris Taylor (forearm) on the 10-day injured list. The increased defensive versatility is just another boon to Muncy's fantasy value, which gets a greater bump in leagues that count on-base percentage rather than batting average as a category.

Moustakas is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cubs.

Moustakas had his 12-game hit streak snapped Monday and is 0-for-11 in his last four games, so he'll head to the bench with left-hander Jose Quintana taking the mound for Chicago. Tyler Saladino will start at the hot corner in his absence.

Bregman is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Jake Kaplan of The Athletic reports.

Since the Astros are wrapping up their series in St. Louis with a day game and have one fewer lineup spot than usual with no designated hitter available, manager AJ Hinch decided it was an optimal time to extend Bregman a breather. Aledmys Diaz will fill in at third base while Bregman bows out of the starting nine for the first time since July 12.

Farmer (concussion) was activated off the 7-day injured list Sunday.

Farmer had a two-game rehab stint in the minors this week to clear the way for his return from the concussion. The 28-year-old should resume his role as a utility player and will serve as the backup catcher to Tucker Barnhart with Curt Casali (knee) still on the shelf.

Riley is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies.

It's the fourth straight contest on the bench for Riley, who has a .169 average with a 41.5 percent strikeout rate in July. The Braves may simply be giving the 22-year-old some extra time off to help him reset, but if replacements Adam Duvall and Ender Inciarte perform well, he may find it difficult to find playing time.

Duffy will start at third base and bat sixth Sunday against the Blue Jays, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The Rays haven't hesitated to usher Duffy back into the mix after he returned from the 60-day injured list Tuesday. He'll make his fifth consecutive start Sunday and looks poised to serve as the Rays' primary third baseman until Yandy Diaz (foot) makes it back from the IL.

Davis is expected to see the lion's share of the playing time in left field for at least the next week and a half after Dominic Smith (foot) was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Davis drew the first start in Smith's stead in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Pirates, going 2-for-3 with a home run, a double and two RBI in the contest. Despite seeing somewhat sporadic action throughout the season, Davis has been one of the Mets' best hitters when called upon, slashing .297/.359/.483 (125 wRC+) across 259 plate appearances. Now that he has a clear path to playing time, Davis should make for an intriguing short-term pickup in fantasy leagues where he's still available.

Bregman went 1-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored in Saturday's 8-2 win over the Cardinals.

Bregman's seventh-inning double snapped a run of 16 at-bats without a hit. The young third baseman is batting a career-low .259, but Bregman offers more than enough value to offset the drop on average. He's tied for 10th in home runs (26), 12th in runs scored (76) and 17th in OPS (.914).

Davis went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run in a 3-0 victory against the Pirates on Saturday.

The 26-year-old accounted for half of the Mets offense with his two hits. Davis has multiple hits in each of his last five games where he registered at least two at-bats. He's batting .297 with 10 home runs, 28 RBI and 32 runs in 236 at-bats this season.
