Moustakas is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Braves.

Moustakas will take a seat for Wednesday's series finale following a string of 22 consecutive starts. The infielder has collected a hit in all five games since the All-Star break, going 8-for-25 (.320) with three doubles, two RBI and five runs scored over that stretch. Tyler Saladino gets the start at third base in place of Moustakas on Wednesday.

Moustakas went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI in Tuesday's victory over the Braves.

Moustakas has at least one hit in every game since the All-Star break, which has helped raise his batting average back up to .267. Moustakas has been in the lineup for every game in July, and he's hit lower than fourth in the order just once all month.

Suarez went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 4-3 extra-inning loss to the Cubs.

His first-inning shot was part of a three-run frame for the Reds, but the team's offense went cold the rest of the night. Suarez has now gone yard in back-to-back games and three of five since the All-Star break, giving him 23 homers and 58 RBI through 92 contests to go with a .246/.324/.500 slash line.

Vargas went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a second run scored in Tuesday's 9-2 win over the Rangers.

The 28-year-old infielder has been seeing sporadic playing time and hadn't homered in over a month, but Vargas took advantage of his opportunity in Texas. He now sports a .674 OPS with five homers, 20 RBI and 22 runs in 64 games, and he'll face additional competition for at-bats once Wilmer Flores (foot) rejoins the roster.

Chapman led Oakland to a win over Seattle on Tuesday, going 3-for-4 with a homer, double and five runs batted in.

Chapman plated Oakland's first two runs with a single in the third inning, then knocked in two more with a home run in the fifth. He capped the offensive onslaught with a double in the seventh to drive home yet another run. The long ball brought Chapman's season total to 22, only two short of his career high. The 26-year-old is now slashing .278/.360/.554 with 59 RBI in 352 at-bats this season as he continues to cement his name near the top of the list of baseball's brightest young stars.

Rendon went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run scored and two RBI in Tuesday's 8-1 win over the Orioles. He was also hit by a pitch.

Rendon continued his hit barrage to start the second half and is 7-for-15 with three doubles and three walks through four contests. The 29-year-old has a .312/.397/.614 slash line with 25 doubles, 20 home runs and 64 RBI this season.

Duffy (hamstring) is slated to play two more games with Triple-A Durham this week before being reevaluated for possible activation, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Duffy has now played a pair of full games in the field at third base for the Bulls, and manager Kevin Cash acknowledges the infielder's current stretch of uninterrupted health is forcing the issue on a possible activation at some point this coming weekend. However, the Rays skipper also emphasized the team wants Duffy to get "a couple more games" under his belt in Durham before a final decision is made. Duffy has yet to play at the major-league level in 2019, and he also ended up missing all of 2017, his first Rays season, with an Achilles injury.

Anderson went 1-for-4 with a walk, a three-run home run and two runs scored Tuesday against the Padres.

Anderson got the Marlins' offense started Tuesday night, slugging his 13th home run of the season in the first inning. He had struggled for much of July prior to this performance, entering the night with just two hits in 17 at-bats. He now owns a .248/.333/.431 line across 371 plate appearances for the season.

Longoria (foot) hopes to return to action in two weeks, Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Longoria landed on the 10-day injured list with plantar fasciitis Monday, and reports that day indicated that he'd be out for more than the minimum 10 days. The third baseman sounds optimistic that he won't miss too much longer than the minimum, though he also gave one month as the long end of his expected timeline, so there's not a ton of clarity at the moment. He'll visit a specialist when the Giants return home on Thursday, at which point a clearer timetable could emerge.

Peterson was released by the Orioles on Tuesday, David Hall of The Virginian-Pilot reports.

Peterson was hitting .309 with nine homers, 44 RBI and 12 stolen bases over 86 games this season with Triple-A Norfolk. However, he's failed to find consistent success in the big leagues throughout his career, posting a .228/.318/.330 slash line with 18 homers and 126 RBI in 479 major-league contests.
