Ke'Bryan Hayes 3B | CIN
Pirates' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Absent from Wednesday's lineup
Hayes is not in the Pirates' starting lineup against the Mets on Wednesday.
Hayes has five multi-hit games since the beginning of May and has gone 14-for-48 (.292) with two stolen bases and two RBI over that span. He'll begin Wednesday's game in the dugout while Jared Triolo starts at the hot corner and bats ninth.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Clubs three-run homer
Ramirez went 1-for-3 with a walk, a three-run homer and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 9-5 loss against the Brewers.
The 32-year-old launched a three-run shot to center field during the eighth inning to cut into a 7-2 deficit, but Cleveland was unable to rally any further. It was Ramirez's second homer in as many days, which brings his total to eight for the season. In addition to the long balls, the third baseman continues to be one of the most productive hitters in the league with 12 steals and a .295/.363/.510 slash line through 41 games.

Royce Lewis 3B | MIN
Twins' Royce Lewis: On bench for second game of day
Lewis is out of the lineup for the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader with the Orioles.
Lewis is just over a week removed from returning from a long stint on the injured list due to a hamstring strain, so the Twins are seemingly just giving him some rest in the second half of the twin bill. He started at third base in the Twins' 6-3 win in Game 1, going 0-for-4 with two strikeouts.

Ramon Urias 2B | HOU
Orioles' Ramon Urias: Idle for second game of day
Urias is out of the lineup for the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader versus the Twins.
After being activated from the injured list earlier in the day, Urias started at third base and went 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in the Orioles' 6-3 loss in Game 1. Urias should see the bulk of the starts at third base for Baltimore until Jordan Westburg (hamstring) returns from the injured list. Emmanuel Rivera will spell Urias at the hot corner for the second half of Wednesday's twin bill.

Jace Jung 2B | DET
Tigers' Jace Jung: Sent back to minors
The Tigers optioned Jung to Triple-A Toledo on Wednesday, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Jung went just 5-for-45 at the plate since being promoted in late April, and his playing time of late has been inconsistent. Zach McKinstry and Andy Ibanez should handle third base duties for the Tigers, at least until Matt Vierling (shoulder) is ready to return from the injured list.

Oswaldo Cabrera LF | NYY
Yankees' Oswaldo Cabrera: Surgery undetermined
Cabrera will undergo an MRI and seek multiple opinions before deciding whether to have surgery to repair his fractured left ankle, Greg Joyce of the New York Post reports.
Cabrera is facing an extended absence either way, but more clarity on his timetable should be available in the coming days and weeks. The utility player suffered the ankle injury in Monday's game against the Mariners when he attempted an awkward slide on a play at the plate.

Kyle Karros 3B | COL
Rockies' Kyle Karros: Nursing injury at Double-A
Double-A Hartford placed Karros on its 7-day injured list May 6 due to an unspecified issue.
Karros hasn't played since May 2. The 22-year-old third base prospect produced a .333/.447/.513 slash line to go with two home runs and four stolen bases across 94 plate appearances with Hartford before being shut down.

Jordan Westburg 2B | BAL
Orioles' Jordan Westburg: Hits snag in recovery
Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said Wednesday that Westburg suffered a setback in his recovery from a left hamstring strain and has paused his running progression, Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Westburg appeared on pace to begin a rehab assignment at some point later this week, but his return from the 10-day injured list will be pushed back further in light of the setback. Hyde didn't commit to a timeline for Westburg to resume running, so until that happens, a more definitive target date for the All-Star infielder's return will be difficult to pin down. The Orioles brought back Ramon Urias (hamstring) from the IL on Wednesday, and he's expected to serve as the team's regular third baseman while Westburg is on the mend.
-
Emmanuel Rivera 3B | BAL
Orioles' Emmanuel Rivera: Set to lose playing time
Rivera is out of the lineup for the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader versus the Twins.
Rivera had started at third base in each of the last five games, but his playing time is likely to fall by the wayside with the Orioles bringing back Ramon Urias (hamstring) from the injured list. Expect Urias to handle the bulk of the starts at the hot corner moving forward, though the right-handed-hitting Rivera could still be a regular part of the lineup against left-handed pitching at either first or third base.

Connor Norby 2B | MIA
Marlins' Connor Norby: Slugs second homer
Norby went 2-for-4 with a triple, a solo home run and a second run scored in Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the Cubs.
The third baseman extended his hitting streak to eight games with a fifth-inning three-bagger before taking Julian Merryweather deep in the seventh -- Norby's second homer of the year. After making a belated start to the campaign due to an oblique strain, Norby seems to be finding his rhythm, and through 83 plate appearances he's slashing .269/.313/.436 with four steals, six RBI and 14 runs.
