Duffy went 1-for-1 with an RBI single, a sacrifice fly and two walks in a loss to the Rangers on Wednesday. He was also caught stealing on his only attempt.

Duffy was a thorn in the side of Rangers pitching before eventually being pinch run for by Johnny Davis in the seventh inning. The veteran infielder has seen spotty playing time in September, following a forgettable August during which he hit just .189. He's struggled to put good wood on the ball as well, as Duffy is still in search of his first home run of the season and has only five extra-base hits (all doubles) across 131 plate appearances.

Newman is not in Thursday's lineup against the Giants.

Newman has hit safely in 15 of his last 16 games and is slashing .413/.486/.651 with three home runs and four steals over that stretch. Cole Tucker starts at shortstop and will hit sixth.

Moustakas went 3-for-4 with two home runs, five RBI and a walk in Wednesday's 7-5 win over the Marlins.

Moustakas returned to the starting nine after missing most of the last couple weeks with the wrist injury and blasted two homers, including a two-run shot in the ninth inning to break a 5-5 tie. The veteran infielder will play a pivotal role down the stretch for the Brewers, especially with Christian Yelich (kneecap) going down for the season Tuesday.

Longoria is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Pirates.

He is hitting .189 with one home run in 10 games this month. Corban Joseph will start at the hot corner and hit eighth.

Muncy (wrist) will be activated prior to Friday's game against the Mets, Alanna Rizzo of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports.

This had been the hope, and now we have confirmation that Muncy is expected to be ready to return this weekend. He is already flying to New York to meet the team there for the three-game series. In the meantime, Matt Beaty and David Freese are platooning at first base.

Senzel (shoulder) is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Mariners.

The last time Senzel was in the starting lineup was Sept. 3, although he has appeared off the bench in several games since then. Phillip Ervin will start in center field against southpaw Marco Gonzales.

Moustakas (wrist) is starting at third base and hitting third Wednesday against the Marlins.

The Brewers offense got bad news Tuesday when it was revealed Christian Yelich (broken kneecap) would miss the rest of the season. However, Moustakas should inject some life into the lineup, while Keston Hiura (hamstring) was also activated Wednesday.

Chapman went 2-for-4 with an RBI single, a walk and two runs in a win over the Astros on Tuesday.

Chapman was one of the few Athletics that failed to garner at least one extra-base hit in the 21-run barrage, but his multi-hit effort helped snap the 2-for-26 skid he'd opened September with. The slugging third baseman surged during the last three weeks of August with a .307 average over the final 19 games of the month, but his lackluster effort since the calendar flipped has led to a seven-point drop in batting average.

Moustakas (wrist) walked in a pinch-hit at-bat in Tuesday's victory over the Marlins.

The at-bat was Moustakas' first since Sept. 2, and just his sixth since he left the Brewers' Aug. 26 game against the Cardinals after taking a grounder off his left wrist while playing third base. It was reported Tuesday that Moustakas could return to the lineup for Wednesday's matchup with the Marlins, and his at-bat Tuesday seemingly increases those chances as long as it did not lead to any additional soreness.

Devers went 2-for-5 with a double and a run scored in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Blue Jays.

The double was Devers' MLB-leading 50th, and he becomes the youngest Red Sox player ever to reach the 50-double mark in a season. The 22-year-old has cooled a bit in September but still owns an impressive line overall, slashing .314/.365/.565 over 141 games.
