Moncada (upper leg) remains on the bench for Monday's game in Minnesota.

Moncada left Saturday's game against the Royals after aggravating an upper-leg issue and did not take part in Sunday's contest. Manager Rick Renteria had indicated previously that Moncada could be back Monday, but he evidently needs at least one more day to rest. Danny Mendick will start at the hot corner in his absence.

Hayes will make his big-league debut Tuesday at home against the Cubs, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

The Pirates will play Monday's road game in Milwaukee before making the move official. Hayes is one of the organization's top prospects and should be the everyday third baseman for the foreseeable future. He has solid plate skills and is a better runner than the average third baseman, but it is Hayes' Gold Glove-caliber defense that headlines his scouting report. It may be a year or two before he settles in as a quality big-league hitter, and the hope is that he can eventually tap into more over-the-fence power than he has shown in the minors.

Anderson went 0-for-2 with a walk Sunday in the Marlins' 12-7 loss to the Rays.

The Marlins are riding a four-game losing streak heading into Monday's make-up game against the Mets, so it comes as little surprise that one of the key bats in their lineup in Anderson has slumped during that stretch. He's gone 0-for-11 with five strikeouts in the four games, dropping his season-long average to .221. Manager Don Mattingly seems content to let Anderson work through his August swoon, as the third baseman will be back in the lineup as the Marlins' cleanup hitter Monday while Miami takes aim at Mets ace Jacob deGrom, per Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald.

Davis (hip) is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Marlins.

The Mets and Marlins are both facing quick turnarounds with Monday's starting at 1:10 p.m. ET, so it's not a major surprise that Davis will be on the bench after exiting the second game of Sunday's doubleheader with the Yankees when he was struck on the left hip by a pitch. Luis Guillorme will cover third base while Davis rests up.

Madrigal went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Royals.

Madrigal is on fire coming off the injured list with a shoulder injury, having gone 5-for-8 with two RBI, two runs and a stolen base across the two games since being activated. While the steal was just his first, Madrigal was a threat in 2019 when he stole 35 bases at three different minor-league stops.

Segura went 3-for-5 with an RBI single and a run scored in Sunday's 12-10 loss to Atlanta.

Segura got aboard with a single in the third inning and came around to score on a Didi Gregorius triple. In the fourth, Segura's single plated Rhys Hoskins. The 30-year-old Segura is batting .256/.337/.411 with four homers, nine RBI, 14 runs scored and a stolen base through 25 games.

Riley went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, an additional run scored and an RBI double in Sunday's 12-10 win over the Phillies.

Riley was a major factor in the Braves' 10-run second inning. He opened the scoring by plating Adam Duvall with a double and then scored the second run when Dansby Swanson drew a bases-loaded walk. Riley capped off the rally with a two-run blast. The third baseman is slashing .232/.282/.453 with six homers, 17 RBI and 12 runs scored through 28 games.

Devers went 4-for-4 with two home runs, two singles, three RBI, three runs scored and one walk in Sunday's 9-5 win over the Nationals.

Devers extended Boston's lead to 5-0 with his two-run shot off Austin Voth in the second. He ended up reaching base in each of his five plate appearances, capping his day with another long ball in the eighth inning. The third baseman's big day at the plate has him up to six homers and a .240/.290/.457 slash line on the campaign.

Davis left Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader against the Yankees with a left hip issue, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Davis took a fastball to the left hip Saturday, and the issue was apparently still bothering him Sunday as he left the twin bill early. However, he isn't expected to be hindered by the injury going forward.

Escobar went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Giants.

Escobar took Giants starter Johnny Cueto deep in the seventh inning for the Diamondbacks' only run in the game. The 31-year-old Escobar is slashing .200/.292/.350 with four homers, 16 RBI, 16 runs scored and a stolen base through 34 games this season. He showed some signs of life at the plate against the Giants, going 3-for-9 with a homer, a triple and a pair of walks in the three-game series.
