Senzel (undisclosed) resumed workouts at the Reds' alternate training site Tuesday, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Senzel wrote on Instagram on Monday that he's "one step closer to returning to the field," and his presence for workouts provides an explanation for the post. The Reds never gave an explanation for his placement on the injured list. Manager David Bell said that it should take some time before Senzel is ready to return to game action. Brian Goodwin should see an increased role while Senzel remains sidelined.

Moncada (upper leg) will sit again Tuesday against the Twins.

Manager Rick Renteria indicated Sunday that Moncada could be back in the lineup as soon as Monday, but that was clearly overly optimistic. Yolmer Sanchez will be the third baseman in his absence.

The Reds never offered a reason for why Senzel landed on the injured list in mid-August, though it's worth noting that the team was known to have a positive COVID-19 test right around that time and that the identity of the person who tested positive was never revealed. It looks as though Senzel should be ready to reclaim his role as the team's regular center fielder soon, though when exactly he'll be back in action remains unclear.

The Twins are planning to activate Donaldson (calf) from the 10-day injured list Wednesday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

With center fielder Byron Buxton (shoulder) set to come off the IL on Tuesday, Donaldson's return the following day will put the Minnesota lineup at full strength minus top catcher Mitch Garver (side), who remains without a clear timeline to resume playing. Donaldson missed all of August with a sore right calf, the same injury he dealt with for much of the 2018 season. Before being sidelined, Donaldson was off to a slow start in his first season in Minnesota, going 4-for-22 with seven strikeouts in seven games. Minnesota may give Donaldson a day or two off per week to ensure he stays healthy for the second half of the season, but the 34-year-old should otherwise settle back in as the Twins' everyday third baseman, bumping Marwin Gonzalez back to a utility role.

Segura went 1-for-4 with a three-run double in Monday's 8-6 win over Washington.

Segura cleared the bases with a three-run double in the fourth inning to give the Phillies a 5-0 lead. He's collected 10 hits and eight RBI during his active six-game hitting streak.

Riley went 2-for-5 with a three-run triple in Monday's 6-3 win over Boston.

Riley slapped a three-run triple to give the Braves a 5-2 lead in the fifth inning. The 23-year-old is heating up, slashing .375/.419/.700 with three home runs and a palatable 23.3 percent strikeout rate over his last 40 at-bats.

Urshela went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 5-3 loss to the Rays.

New York couldn't muster any offense at all off Tyler Glasnow, but once he exited the game Urshela kick-started a comeback attempt by leading off the seventh inning with his sixth homer of the year. The 28-year-old hasn't matched last year's breakout, but he's still supplying solid power numbers for the Yankees.

Suarez went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI in Monday's 7-5 loss to the Cardinals.

The 29-year-old carried the Reds' offense as best he could, but his three-run blast in the ninth inning was too little, too late. Suarez has five homers and 12 RBI in his last 10 games, but on the year he's still hitting a woeful .185 with only eight home runs and 19 RBI through 34 contests.

Anderson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 5-3 win over the Mets.

Anderson entered Monday in a slump at the plate, striking out five times while failing to record a hit in his last 11 at-bats. Although he struck out twice more Monday, the third baseman belted a solo homer off Brad Brach to extend Miami's lead to 5-3 in the eighth inning. Anderson now has five long balls on the campaign and will look to improve upon a .222/.330/.424 slash line going forward.

Donaldson (calf) is expected to return form the injured list "really soon," per manager Rocco Baldelli, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

Baldelli didn't offer a precise timeline for the third baseman's return from calf issues, but it doesn't appear that the veteran will miss much more time. He's reportedly doing quite well and took part in another simulated game at the Twins' alternate site Monday.
