Segura (triceps) is expected to return to the lineup Saturday, Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Segura sat out both games of Friday's doubleheader against the Blue Jays after being hit by a pitch Thursday. However, he's expected to return to action as the series against Toronto continues Saturday.

Astudillo was optioned to the alternate training site, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.

The 29-year-old joined the big-league club Sept. 4 but appeared in only three games during his time with the team. Astudillo has only 16 plate appearances on the season. Mitch Garver (back) was activated off the injured list in a corresponding move.

Escobar is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Astros.

Escobar has been quite disappointing at the plate this season, hitting .194/.263/.320. He's gone hitless in his last three games. Josh VanMeter will be the third baseman Friday.

Hayes will bat second and play third base in Game 1 of Friday's doubleheader against the Cardinals.

Hayes, who went 1-for-2 with a double and a run Thursday, was also hit by a pitch on his right knee. Fortunately, he remained in the game and apparently suffered no ill effects from the HBP.

Segura (triceps) is out of the lineup as expected for the first half of Friday's doubleheader against the Blue Jays.

Segura isn't expected to appear in either game Friday after getting hit by a pitch in the back of his elbow Thursday against the Mets. Scott Kingery (soreness) returns to the lineup at second base in his absence.

Suarez was reinstated from the paternity list and is starting at third base and batting cleanup Friday against the White Sox.

The 29-year-old missed the past two games while on the paternity list, but he'll rejoin the team after spending a few days with his family. Suarez has a 1.014 OPS with five homers, four doubles and 11 RBI through 14 games in September and will look to pick up where he left off.

Senzel is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the White Sox.

Senzel has been in the lineup just twice in five games since returning from a month-long absence for undisclosed reasons. He's gone 0-for-6 at the plate since his return. Brian Goodwin starts in center field.

LeMahieu went 1-for-3 with two walks, a solo home run and a second run scored in Thursday's 10-7 win over the Blue Jays.

He continues to wear out Toronto pitching, and LeMahieu finished the three-game series against the Jays having gone 8-for-13 with three doubles, four homers, eight runs and nine RBI while extending his hitting streak to 10 games. On the year, the veteran infielder is slashing .373/.426/.641 with 10 homers and 23 RBI.

Segura (triceps) is unlikely to be available for either of Friday's games against the Blue Jays, Meghan Montemurro of The Athletic reports.

Segura was drilled by a pitch Thursday evening against the Mets, and it appears the injury is significant enough to keep him out of Friday's doubleheader. With Scott Kingery (undisclosed) also banged up, there's a good chance Phil Gosselin will get a chance to fill in at second base.

Ramirez went 4-for-5 with a double, two home runs, four RBI and three runs scored Thursday against the Tigers.

Ramirez terrorized Casey Mize, taking him deep in each of his first two at-bats. He now has 13 long balls on the season, four of which have come in his last six games. Ramirez has also hit well overall in that span, logging multi-hit efforts in five of those contests. Overall, he has a very strong .276/.366/.546 line with 37 runs scored, 32 RBI and 10 stolen bases across 213 plate appearances.
