Alex Bregman 3B | CHC
Astros' Alex Bregman: Returns to lineup Tuesday
Bregman (COVID-19 injured list) is starting Tuesday in Colorado, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
As expected, Bregman is back in the starting nine for the first of a two-game series in Coors Field.

Manny Machado 3B | SD
Padres' Manny Machado: Heads to bench
Machado is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Brewers.
Machado was banged up with back and shoulder issues late last week but was never forced to miss any time. It's unclear whether Tuesday's off day is a routine one or if it's related to his minor injuries. Ha-Seong Kim will start at third base in his absence.

Rafael Devers 1B | SF
Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Not in Tuesday's lineup
Devers will not start Tuesday's game against Toronto, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.
Devers sits for just the second time this season. He's gotten off to a strong start, hitting .271/.362/.542 with five homers in 69 plate appearances. Marwin Gonzalez will fill in for him at third base Tuesday.

Rafael Devers 1B | SF
Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Scores twice in romp
Devers went 2-for-3 with two walks, an RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 11-5 win over the White Sox.
Devers kept the line moving in the first two innings and assisted in chasing Lucas Giolito early by scoring twice. His solid start to the 2021 season continues, as Devers is now batting .271 with 15 RBI through 16 games. The 24-year-old has also drawn a walk in an impressive 11.6 percent of his plate appearances this year.

Kyle Farmer 3B | ATL
Reds' Kyle Farmer: Returns to bench
Farmer is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Diamondbacks.
Farmer had started at third base in place of Mike Moustakas (illness) in each of the last three games, going 1-for-6 with three walks and a run scored during that time. Moustakas is healthy again following Monday's off day, so Farmer will move back into a bench role for Cincinnati.

Mike Moustakas 3B | CHW
Reds' Mike Moustakas: Returns from illness
Moustakas (illness) will start at third base and bat fifth Tuesday against the Diamondbacks.
Moustakas checks back into the starting nine after he was sidelined for the Reds' last three games with the illness. Kyle Farmer had started in each of those games while Moustakas was ill, but he'll head back to the bench for Tuesday's series opener.

Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA
Angels' Anthony Rendon: Resumes baseball activities
Rendon (groin) began baseball activities Monday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Rendon was able to hit off a tee and did some light throwing and fielding drills. He got through the workout without issues, though it doesn't appear as though he'll be ready to go when first eligible to return from the injured list Wednesday. The Angels have yet to provide a clear timetable for his return.

Nick Maton DH | CHW
Phillies' Nick Maton: Making MLB debut
Maton was called up and will make his major-league debut Monday against the Giants, batting eighth and playing shortstop.
Maton earned the call as presumably a bench infielder, filling the spot left vacant with Ronald Torreyes landing on the COVID-19 injured list. While he's starting right away, a bench role is the most likely future for the 24-year-old. He's a competent defender at shortstop but is unlikely to hit enough to be a regular, posting a career .259/.342/.378 slash line in the minors.

Alex Bregman 3B | CHC
Astros' Alex Bregman: Traveling with team
Bregman (undisclosed) is traveling with his teammates to Denver on Monday and appears set to play in Tuesday's series opener against the Rockies, Mark Berman of KRIV Fox 26 reports.
The Astros had a handful of players placed on the COVID-19 injured list last week, but several of them are set to return, suggesting they didn't actually come down with the virus themselves. Assuming Bregman's week off didn't throw off his swing too much, he could be set for a strong two-game series at Coors Field.
