Lewis will start at shortstop and bat seventh in Tuesday's game in Oakland.

Though MLB.com initially reported that Carlos Correa (finger) was on track to make his return from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, the Twins will instead wait at least one more day before adding the star shortstop back to the mix. That clears the way for Lewis to man shortstop for the 11th game in a row, after the star rookie continued to impress in Monday's 3-1 win by reaching base on a double and a walk while coming around to score twice. He's now submitted a .763 OPS over his first 36 big-league plate appearances, giving him a compelling case to stick around with the Twins as a super-utility player once Correa is reinstated.

The Dodgers promoted Busch from Double-A Tulsa to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday, Sam Dykstra of MiLB.com reports.

Busch spent the entire 2021 campaign at Tulsa, but he earned the call-up to Oklahoma City after raising his performance at the plate just over five weeks into his second tour of Double-A. Over 137 plate appearances at Tulsa, Busch submitted a 1.112 OPS -- a 242-point jump from his 2021 mark. Even though Busch is 24 years old and likely won't benefit much from further development time on the farm, his lack of a 40-man roster spot along with the Dodgers' impressive depth in both the infield and outfield could hurt his chances of receiving a late-season call-up to the majors.

Walls will not start Tuesday's game against the Tigers, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Walls has been in a slump at the plate recently, grabbing just two hits while striking out 14 times across his last 11 games. Yandy Diaz starts at third base Tuesday.

Urshela will sit Tuesday against Oakland.

Urshela has held onto regular playing time even after the arrival of rookies Jose Miranda and Royce Lewis, but the Twins' infield will get crowded once Carlos Correa (finger) returns from the injured list, which is expected to happen soon. Urshela's .226/.280/.330 slash line doesn't make the best case for an everyday role, but his past track record could still keep him in the lineup on a regular basis until he turns things around at the plate. Miranda will be the one to start at the hot corner Tuesday.

Farmer (general soreness) will start at shortstop and bat eighth in Tuesday's game in Cleveland.

After sitting out the final two games of the Reds' weekend series in Pittsburgh with the minor injury, Farmer is good to go coming out of Monday's team off day. He should settle back into an everyday role at shortstop, likely closing Alejo Lopez's window to take on extra work in the middle infield.

Newman (groin) is scheduled to begin a minor-league rehab assignment at Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday, Alex Stumpf of DKPittsburghSports.com reports.

After incorporating running workouts into his regimen of baseball activities late last week, Newman showed enough progress in his recovery from the left groin strain to advance to the final stage of his rehab program. He'll most likely play in at least two games at Indianapolis before potentially rejoining the Pirates for the start of their homestand Friday. Once activated from the 10-day injured list, Newman should settle back in as the Pirates' everyday shortstop, leaving Rodolfo Castro and Diego Castillo to battle Josh VanMeter for playing time at second base.

Davis is out of the lineup for the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader with the Cardinals.

Davis had started in three of the past four games, going 1-for-11 with a triple, two RBI and a run. He's expected to continue sharing the designated-hitter role with Dominic Smith, whose left-handedness may give him the edge in terms of playing time.

Sosa is out of the lineup for the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader with the Mets, William Ladson of MLB.com reports.

Sosa closed out the weekend with a second straight start at shortstop and went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored in the Cardinals' 15-6 win over the Giants, but he'll give way to Brendan Donovan at shortstop for the afternoon game Tuesday. Given that Donovan bats from the left side, he could end up handling the larger side of a platoon at shortstop with the righty-hitting Sosa. Donovan has thus far done little to jeopardize his standing atop the depth chart, as he's provided a 1.015 OPS in his first 32 MLB plate appearances.

Moncada will sit for the first half of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Royals.

Moncada finds himself on the bench for the second time in three games, though it's no surprise that he won't be asked to start twice in one day just over a week after returning from an oblique injury which cost him over a month at the start of the campaign. Josh Harrison starts at the hot corner in his absence, but Moncada will likely return for the nightcap.

McMahon went 2-for-5 with a home run and an additional RBI in a loss to the Giants on Monday.

McMahon homered to left field in the sixth inning to tie the score 4-4, and he produced another game-tying hit with a single in the seventh. The 27-year-old has produced three multi-hit performances over his past four games and has slugged two homers while driving in five runs over that span.
