Diamondbacks' Jean Segura: Notches three hits, two RBI
Segura went 3-for-6 with a double, a walk and two RBI in Sunday's 10-9 victory over the Dodgers.
Segura raised his NL-leading hit total to 189 with a pair of singles and his 38th double, capping the four-game set with his third straight multi-hit performance. The 26-year-old has caught fire over his past six games, batting .517 with five home runs and eight RBI. He's currently slashing .319/.365/.490 -- all career highs.

Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA
Nationals' Anthony Rendon: Absent from Sunday's lineup
Rendon is not in the lineup Sunday against the Braves, Jorge Castillo of the Washington Post reports.
Rendon has started the past nine games, so he'll head to the bench to get some rest. Wilmer Difo will take over for him at the hot corner for the day.

Jace Peterson SS | ARI
Braves' Jace Peterson: Returns to lineup Sunday
Peterson (ankle) is in the starting lineup Sunday against the Nationals, batting seventh and playing second base.
Peterson missed the past two games due to an ankle injury, but it seems the 26-year-old's ankle is good enough for him to play in the series finale. As long as his ankle stays healthy, he'll likely get plenty of innings at the keystone for the remainder of the season.

Diamondbacks' Jean Segura: Smashes 17th home run of the season
Segura went 2-for-4 with a solo homer -- his 17th of the season -- in Saturday's loss to the Dodgers.
Add another homer -- his fifth in his last five games -- to the 26-year-old shortstop's career-best total. Segura is the NL hit leader with 186, his superb average (.317) ranks fourth in the NL, while his 30 steals ties him for fourth in the NL.

Jace Peterson SS | ARI
Braves' Jace Peterson: Remains out Saturday
Peterson (ankle) remains out of the lineup Saturday against the Nationals.
Peterson was scratched from Friday's lineup with a sprained ankle, and the ailment will keep him out of action for at least one more day. Gordon Beckham will get the nod at second base Saturday, as was the case Friday night.

DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY
Rockies' DJ LeMahieu: Three hits, three RBI Friday
LeMahieu went 3-for-5 with two doubles, three RBI, a run scored and a stolen base during Friday's win over the Padres.
LeMahieu ripped a bases-loaded double in the second inning, giving him a career-high 62 RBI and extending his current hit streak to seven games. The second baseman is also on pace to obliterate his career mark for batting average, as the trio of hits moved up into a tie for first-place in the National League at .349, alongside Daniel Murphy.

Jace Peterson SS | ARI
Braves' Jace Peterson: Scratched with ankle sprain
Peterson has been scratched from Friday's lineup due to a left ankle sprain, Kevin McAlpin of 680 The Fan reports.
Gordon Beckham is set to take over at second base and bat sixth in the order in place of the injured Peterson on Friday. It's too early to tell whether Peterson's ankle injury will keep him out for an extended period, but if it does, Beckham would be the logical replacement to see most of the starts at second base for the Braves.

Jean Segura 3B | CLE
Diamondbacks' Jean Segura: Explodes for five hits, second straight two-homer game
Segura racked up five hits -- two of them homers -- and drove home three runs in six at-bats Wednesday against the Rockies.
This series has taken place in Arizona, not Coors Field, but don't tell Segura that -- he's ripped off consecutive two-homer games and eight hits in a span of 11 at-bats. That's five more hits than he accumulated in the prior seven games put together, as Segura had hit what amounted to a slump for him in this outstanding offensive season he's put together. He just continues growing his new career highs in homers (16), RBI (56) and runs (89).

Diamondbacks' Jean Segura: Blasts two homers against Colorado
Segura homered twice in a 3-for-5 game with three runs scored Tuesday against the Rockies.
Segura managed his second multi-homer game of the season and his first since all the way back on Apr. 7 against the Cubs. With 14 home runs, Segura now has a new career high, topping his 12 home runs in 146 games back in 2013 with the Brewers. This has been a breakout year for Segura, whose .312/.358/.470 batting line represents career bests across the board.

Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA
Nationals' Anthony Rendon: Clubs home run in blowout win
Rendon went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run on Monday against the Mets.
Rendon has been a different player since the All-Star break. After hitting .254 in the first half, Rendon has hit .311 since the break, launching as many home runs as he did in the first half in more than 100 fewer at-bats. The infielder has driven in 13 runs in just 11 games this month.
