  • Jace Peterson SS | ARI

Braves' Jace Peterson: Out of lineup Thursday

Peterson is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Marlins.

Peterson has been filling in for the injured Matt Kemp (hamstring) in left field, but he'll get the day off after starting five of the last six games. In his place, Lane Adams will start and hit eighth.

  • Brian Anderson RF | ATL

Marlins' Brian Anderson: Out again Thursday

Anderson is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Braves, Andre Fernandez of the Miami Herald reports.

Anderson will stick on the bench for a second straight game as Derek Dietrich draws another start at the hot corner in his place. The 24-year-old has held his own in his first major-league stint, slashing .268/.346/.366 in 21 games while serving as the Marlins' primary third baseman over the past few weeks.

  • Eugenio Suarez DH | CIN

Reds' Eugenio Suarez: Takes seat Thursday

Suarez is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Brewers, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

While Suarez has collected a hit in each of the previous two games, he's slashing just .173/.267/.267 in 75 at-bats this month, so he'll get the day off after a string of five consecutive starts. In his place, Patrick Kivlehan will start at third base and bat second.

  • Brian Anderson RF | ATL

Marlins' Brian Anderson: Out of lineup Wednesday

Anderson is not in the lineup against Colorado on Wednesday, MLB.com's Thomas Harding reports.

Anderson heads to the bench after going 1-for-3 during Tuesday's loss as Derek Dietrich takes his place at third base. Over the course of his 20 games with the big-league club, Anderson is slashing .261/.342/.348 with five extra-base hits and six RBI.

  • Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI

Rockies' Nolan Arenado: Launches 36th homer Tuesday

Arenado went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a second run scored in Tuesday's 6-0 win over the Marlins.

It looks like the minor hand injury he suffered Sunday won't be an issue for Arenado heading into the NL Wild Card Game. With 36 home runs it looks like he'll fall a little short of his third straight 40-HR campaign, but the third baseman now needs only five RBI in the Rockies' last four regular-season games to set a new career high in that category, and top last year's 133.

  • Carlos Asuaje 3B | LAD

Padres' Carlos Asuaje: Not starting Tuesday

Asuaje is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Dodgers.

The Padres are rolling with a lineup full of right-handed hitters against Dodgers starter Alex Wood, so Asuaje will open on the bench while Yangervis Solarte holds down the second base spot.

  • Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA

Nationals' Anthony Rendon: Back in action Tuesday

Rendon (foot) is in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Phillies, Jamal Collier of MLB.com reports.

Rendon got a day off Monday in order to give his sore foot a rest, but he is ready to get back in the lineup just one day later. He will man the hot corner like he regularly does and hit third in the Nationals' batting order.

  • Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA

Nationals' Anthony Rendon: Held out Monday with sore foot

Rendon was held out of the lineup Monday with foot soreness, MASN Sports reports.

Initially manager Dusty Baker said Rendon was dealing with "general soreness," but he then got more specific, saying Rendon's foot has been bothering him. The skipper went on to add that he is going to "tread lightly between giving [Rendon] time off and giving him ABs." Those in leagues that allow daily lineup changes should check in on Rendon's status throughout the week.

  • Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI

Rockies' Nolan Arenado: In Monday's lineup

Arenado (hand) is in the lineup Monday against the Marlins, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

Arenado left Sunday's game with a hand injury that came from an odd swing. Fortunately the injury was rather minor, as he's in the lineup and hitting third Monday night. Arenado will look to finish the 2017 campaign on a strong note, as he's carrying a terrific .305/.369/.579 line into Monday's contest.

  • Brian Anderson RF | ATL

Marlins' Brian Anderson: Headed to bench Monday

Anderson is out of the lineup Monday against the Rockies, Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald reports.

Since the start of September, Anderson has been operating as Miami's primary third baseman, and he's hit .258/.342/.348 in that time. Strikeouts have been a challenge for him, as he's struck out 20 times over 75 plate appearances. He'll sit out Monday while Derek Dietrich heads to the hot corner.
