Brett Baty 3B | NYM
Mets' Brett Baty: Late scratch Sunday
Baty was scratched from the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants for unspecified reasons.

Jared Triolo 3B | PIT
Pirates' Jared Triolo: Out with knee injury
The Pirates placed Triolo on the 10-day injured list Sunday due to a patellar tendon injury in his right knee, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.
The 28-year-old apparently suffered the injury during Friday's win over the Orioles and was held out of the lineup Saturday. Pirates general manager Ben Cherington indicated Sunday the injury is "more of a weeks-long thing," per Danny Demilio of PittsburghBaseballNow.com, so Triolo doesn't look like he'll be back from the injured list in the near future. Nick Gonzales and Nick Yorke should fill in at third base while Triolo is sidelined.

Ke'Bryan Hayes 3B | CIN
Reds' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Sitting down Saturday
Hayes isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Rangers.
Hayes will take a seat Saturday and recollect himself after going just 2-for-19 (.105) at the dish through his first seven games. His absence will move Eugenio Suarez to third base, opening up the DH spot for Nathaniel Lowe.

Jared Triolo 3B | PIT
Pirates' Jared Triolo: Getting break Saturday
Triolo isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game versus Baltimore.
Triolo went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored in Friday's series opener, but he'll begin Saturday's contest in the dugout while Nick Gonzales starts at third base and bats eighth.

Bo Bichette 3B | NYM
Mets' Bo Bichette: Three knocks in win
Bichette went 3-for-5 with a double, one RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 10-3 win over the Giants.
This was Bichette's first multi-hit effort as a Met. The infielder is batting just .194 over eight games, but he has an extra-base hit in each of the last two contests and has struck out just twice over his last five games after fanning eight times in the first three games of the season. His speed has been down for three years, so he's unlikely to make noise on the basepaths, which makes it all the more important for Bichette to make hard and consistent contact while maintaining good plate discipline from the No. 3 spot in the order.

Jared Triolo 3B | PIT
Pirates' Jared Triolo: First multi-hit effort of 2026
Triolo went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored Friday against the Orioles.
Triolo remained in the lineup despite Konnor Griffin's arrival, though he shifted to third base while hitting eighth in the order. Triolo has struggled with the bat in the early going, with Friday marking his first multi-hit effort of the season. He delivered an RBI single in the second inning and came around to score in the same frame. While Triolo was in the lineup over Nick Gonzales on Friday, the duo will likely split time in some fashion for the foreseeable future.

Rafael Devers 3B | SF
Giants' Rafael Devers: Launches first long ball
Devers went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in a 7-2 win over the Mets on Thursday.
Devers accounted for the final run of the contest with a solo shot to center field in the sixth inning -- his first homer and first RBI of the season. The slugger now has three multi-hit games across seven contests, though he's also gone hitless three times. Overall, Devers is slashing .259/.333/.407 through 30 plate appearances.

Graham Pauley 3B | MIA
Marlins' Graham Pauley: Two doubles in Wednesday's rout
Pauley went 2-for-4 with two doubles and a run scored in Wednesday's win over the White Sox.
The 25-year-old played his part in a 10-0 rout, collecting his first extra-base hits of the season. With Christopher Morel (oblique) and Kyle Stowers (hamstring) on the shelf and Griffin Conine (illness) unavailable as well Wednesday, Pauley got the start at first base while Connor Norby was the DH and Javier Sanoja handled the hot corner. As Pauley puts his spring forearm injury further behind him and gets back up to speed, however, he could emerge as the Marlins' preferred option at third base against right-handed pitching. Through five games to begin the season, he's gone 3-for-13 with a run scored, an RBI and a 0:5 BB:K.

Eugenio Suarez 3B | CIN
Reds' Eugenio Suarez: Makes impact off bench
Suarez went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 8-3 loss to PIttsburgh.
