  • Mike Moustakas 3B | CHW

Royals' Mike Moustakas: Drives in three runs against Tigers

Moustakas went 3-for-4 with three RBI and a run during Thursday's win over Detroit.

Dating back to before the All-Star break, Moustakas had just two RBI through his previous eight games, so this was a nice outburst at the dish. He's raised his game to another level in 2017 and checks out as a high-end fantasy asset with 25 homers, 59 RBI, 46 runs and a .275/.305/.544 slash line.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Goes hitless in season debut

Moncada went 0-for-2 with a walk in his debut for the White Sox in Wednesday's 9-1 loss to the Dodgers.

Moncada, who batted sixth in the order, grounded out to second base and flied out to center field. His arrival in Chicago generated a lot of buzz, with 5,000 walk-up tickets sold for the game, but the White Sox will let him acclimate to the majors at a measured pace. Eventually, we expect to see Moncada, who has been a leadoff hitter in the minor leagues, move up in the order.

  • Alex Bregman 3B | CHC

Astros' Alex Bregman: Scores lone run Wednesday

Bregman went 2-for-3 with a stolen base and a run scored in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to Seattle.

Bregman scored on a sacrifice fly after he stole third base, giving him 13 runs scored over the past 12 games. With just eight home runs and 28 RBI this season -- including a current 19-game homer-less stretch with just two RBI -- he hasn't provided a whole lot of value for fantasy owners in the power categories typically associated with corner infielders, but Bregman is enjoying his finest month of the season, posting a .939 OPS in 14 July games.

  • Evan Longoria 3B | ARI

Rays' Evan Longoria: Hits 25th double in loss

Longoria went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored during Wednesday's loss to Oakland.

The veteran has put together an encouraging stretch at the dish dating back to mid-June with a .317 batting average, six homers, 26 RBI and 21 runs through his past 32 games. For the year, Longoria still boasts a mediocre .773 OPS and projects to finish well short of last season's counting stats.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Batting sixth in team debut

Moncada will start at second base and bat sixth in his White Sox debut Wednesday against the Dodgers.

With the trade of Todd Frazier (along with relievers David Robertson and Tommy Kahnle) to the Yankees on Tuesday, the White Sox officially christened their rebuild, so the team's focus will turn to giving young players more extended opportunities at the big-league level throughout the second half. Moncada, who was recalled from Triple-A Charlotte late Tuesday to assume Frazier's roster spot, is the avatar for the organization's youth movement, and is expected to settle into an everyday role at the keystone the rest of the way. Moncada struggled to make contact in his first taste of the big leagues last September while he was a member of the Red Sox, but with another year of experience under his belt, he should provide a greater impact this time around. He was batting .282 with 12 home runs and 17 stolen bases over 361 plate appearances at Charlotte prior to his promotion.

  • Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL

Blue Jays' Josh Donaldson: Appeared to hurt hand in 11th inning

Donaldson went 1-for-7 with a strikeout in Tuesday's 15-inning loss to the Red Sox.

The big news here is that Donaldson appeared to be in pain after tagging out Xander Bogaerts in the 11th inning, but remained in the game anyway. Nothing has been announced about a possible injury, so it could be nothing, but it is something to monitor over the next couple days.

  • J.D. Davis 1B | LAA

Astros' J.D. Davis: Heads to Triple-A Fresno

Davis was called up to Triple-A Fresno on Wednesday, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Davis was hitting .279/.340/.510 with 21 home runs, 60 RBI and 49 runs at Double-A Corpus Christi during 87 games this season. The 24-year-old spent a year and a half with Corpus Christi, getting time in the outfield along with his primary position of third base, due to Alex Bregman's status with the major-league club. Fresno will provide a good test for Davis, especially challenging his strikeout rate, which he's decreased steadily over the past two seasons (from 28.4 percent in 2015 at High-A ball, to 23.2 percent this year).

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Will play every day

Moncada, who was called up to Chicago on Tuesday, is expected to play on a regular basis, Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune reports.

While it could have been assumed that Moncada, the White Sox's top prospect, would have an everyday job, general manager Rick Hahn affirmed that Tuesday when he said the team wasn't "bringing him here to sit." He will be in the lineup Wednesday against the Dodgers.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Recalled from Triple-A Charlotte

Moncada has been recalled from Triple-A Charlotte.

Moncada was hitting .285/.381/.452 with 12 home runs and 17 stolen bases at Triple-A. As Chicago's top prospect, and perhaps the top prospect in baseball, he should be a fixture in the everyday lineup for the rebuilding White Sox.

  • Jean Segura 3B | CLE

Mariners' Jean Segura: Takes over MLB batting lead Monday

Segura went 2-for-5 with an RBI infield single, a double and a run in Monday's 9-7 extra-inning win over the Astros, bringing his average to a majors-best .349.

It was another stellar all-around night for Segura, who also turned in a pair of defensive gems in the ninth when he single-handedly prevented Josh Reddick from scoring on two different occasions, preserving a 7-7 tie in the process. Segura's July tear includes a .411/.414/.571 line, six doubles, a homer and seven RBI, as well as a trio of four-hit efforts.
