Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Indians' Jose Ramirez: X-rays come back clean
Manager Terry Francona said X-rays on Ramirez's forearm came back negative, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
This is welcomed news for Ramirez and the Indians, as Thursday's tests seem to indicate he avoided any sort of serious injury after being hit by a pitch in the forearm. Francona didn't rule him out for Game 2 of Thursday's doubleheader, though he likely wouldn't start if he does end up seeing action. He should be good to go for this weekend's series against the Royals.

Jean Segura 3B | CLE
Mariners' Jean Segura: Rakes out of leadoff spot Wednesday
Segura went 3-for-5 with a stolen base and a run in Wednesday's 7-6 win over the Orioles.
The red-hot leadoff man has taken it up a notch in August, posting five multi-hit efforts in the last seven games and posting a .309/.397/.436 line overall during the month. Segura has offered relatively modest power numbers, but he's made up for it with a .320/.372/.438 season line that includes 18 stolen bases.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Indians' Jose Ramirez: Exits after HBP
Ramirez was lifted from Thursday's game against the Twins after being hit in the right forearm area by a pitch, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
Ramirez was in obvious pain after getting plunked in the second inning, and he was subsequently replaced by Giovanny Urshela on the basepaths. The severity of the injury isn't clear at this point, but he was seen joking with teammates on his way to the trainers room, so hopefully it isn't anything more than a bruise. More should be known following the conclusion of Thursday's doubleheader.

Matt Chapman 3B | SF
Athletics' Matt Chapman: Launches ninth homer Wednesday
Chapman went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 7-6 loss to the Royals.
His eighth-inning blast off Brandon Maurer tied the score at 6-6, but the Oakland bullpen promptly surrendered the lead again in the ninth. Chapman now has six hits and two homers in his last five games, and he's slugged 25 long balls on the season between Triple-A (16) and the majors (nine) in only 92 games.

Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL
Blue Jays' Josh Donaldson: Homers again Tuesday
Donaldson went 2-for-3 with a walk and a three-run home run in Tuesday's 6-4 loss to the Rays.
Finally healthy, Donaldson is trying to make up for lost time and keep the Jays in the AL wild-card chase with homers in three straight games, along with a .364 (16-for-44) batting average, seven home runs and 19 RBI through 13 games in August. The 2015 AL MVP has a disappointing 18 homers and 50 RBI on the year, but he's more than capable of carrying a fantasy squad down the stretch.

Rafael Devers 1B | SF
Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Flashes bat and glove Tuesday
Devers went 2-for-4 with a walk, two runs scored and an RBI in Tuesday's 10-4 win over the Cardinals.
In addition to extending his RBI streak to four games, the rookie also started the 31st triple play in Red Sox history. He grabbed a Yadier Molina grounder in the fourth inning, stepped on third base and fired a strike to Eduardo Nunez at second to initiate the 5-4-3 triple play and squash a Cards rally in what at the time was a 1-0 game. Devers continues to display poise well beyond his age, and the 20-year-old's 1.078 OPS isn't too shabby either.

Manny Machado 3B | SD
Orioles' Manny Machado: Hammers second grand slam of month
Machado went 2-for-5 with a grand slam in Monday's crushing 11-3 win over Seattle.
It was Machado's second grand slam over his last eight games, and his fifth home run in August. Monday marked the slugger's fourth straight multi-hit effort, a stretch in which Machado is 9-for-19 with seven RBI and four runs. The 25-year-old's recent run has him on pace to surpass 30 homers for the third consecutive campaign.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Indians' Jose Ramirez: Continues stellar season Monday
Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored in Monday's win over the Red Sox.
His fifth-inning double gave Ramirez the MLB lead with 38 two-baggers on the year. The 24-year-old's .312 batting average and 79 runs this season are top-10 marks in the AL, and both lead the Indians clubhouse. Through 115 games, Ramirez is on pace to hit 25 home runs, 50-plus doubles and nearly 10 triples -- he's also chasing 100 runs, 80 RBI and 20 stolen bases. Other big names in larger markets may have grabbed most of the headlines this season, but Ramirez is having a heck of a 2017 campaign in Cleveland.

Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL
Blue Jays' Josh Donaldson: Stays hot with another blast Monday
Donaldson went 2-for-4 with two-run homer, his 17th of the year, in Monday's win over the Rays.
Donaldson's blast in the opening frame turned out to be the difference in the Jays' 2-1 home win. The third baseman has nine long balls in the first inning this season, tying him with George Springer for first in the AL -- and three back from Bryce Harper for the MLB lead. He's been on fire this month, going 14-for-41 (.341) with six home runs, 16 RBI and 10 runs.
