Rafael Devers 1B | SF
Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Fattens up on Angels' pitching
Devers went 3-for-4 with a walk and two RBI in Thursday's 8-2 win over the Angels.
Like many hitters in Boston's lineup, Devers exploded against Angels' pitching, going 7-for-14 with a double, two home runs and seven RBI during the three-game set. He's moved to the top of the team with 17 RBI and has not experienced any drop-off his second time around the league after making a splash as a rookie in 2017.

Alex Bregman 3B | CHC
Astros' Alex Bregman: Returns to lineup Thursday
Bregman went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Thursday's 9-2 win over the Mariners.
Manager A.J. Hinch is trying to shake Bregman out of a slump that has him hitting .160 (4-for-25) since he posted a four-hit game April 11. After Hinch gave Bregman a day off Wednesday, the manager had him back in the lineup and dropped him to the five hole.

Jeimer Candelario 3B | LAA
Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: Collects four hits, another homer Thursday
Candelario went 4-for-4 with a walk, a two-run homer and an additional RBI in Thursday's win over the Orioles.
Candelario continues to heat up at the dish after a slow start to the season. Over the past four games, the 24-year-old has gone 9-for-17 (.529) with three homers -- his first three of the season -- and a triple, bumping his OPS from .619 to .897.

Manny Machado 3B | SD
Orioles' Manny Machado: Swats two homers Thursday
Machado went 3-for-5 with a double, two homers and four RBI in Thursday's loss to the Tigers.
After grounding out in his first at-bat, Machado took Jordan Zimmermann deep in his next two at-bats, marking his fourth and fifth homers on the year. Both of the home runs were solo shots, while he tallied another RBI with a groundout in the seventh inning and his fourth one on a ninth-inning double. The 25-year-old continues to see the ball well early on; he's now hitting .338 with a gaudy 1.037 OPS through 19 games.

Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL
Blue Jays' Josh Donaldson: Resumes throwing
Donaldson (shoulder) resumed throwing in Florida on Thursday but will not return against the Yankees this weekend, Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com reports.
Manager John Gibbons added that Donaldson "felt great," though there isn't a precise timetable for his return at the moment. Donaldson is eligible to return Saturday, but it appears as though both parties are viewing his reinstatement during the club's six-game homestand starting Tuesday.

Alex Bregman 3B | CHC
Astros' Alex Bregman: Back in lineup Thursday
Bregman will return to the lineup Thursday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Bregman was given the night off Wednesday as a way to reboot a dormant bat. Since the first four-hit game of his career April 11 against the Twins, the young third baseman had gone 3-for-21. A.J. Hinch also dropped him from second to fifth in the batting order Tuesday, so the manager is trying to get him on track. Bregman is hitting .214 through 18 games.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Hits grand slam in loss
Moncada went 2-for-7 with a grand slam and three runs scored in Wednesday's loss to the Athletics.
Moncada's second home run in as many days put the White Sox up 6-1 early, but the pitching couldn't hold up their end of the bargain in the 14-inning defeat. In addition to working the long ball, Moncada also swiped a bag for the third straight game -- he's now 3-for-3 on steals on the year -- so the 22-year-old is giving some hope that he may be ready to deliver on the hype that followed him throughout his minor-league career.

Alex Bregman 3B | CHC
Astros' Alex Bregman: Gets first day off Wednesday
Bregman is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mariners.
Bregman will head to the bench for the first time all season after starting each of the first 18 games and going 15-for-70 (.214) with a homer and a stolen base. Marwin Gonzalez will slide to third base in his stead with Derek Fisher drawing a start in left field.

Jeimer Candelario 3B | LAA
Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: Pops second homer Wednesday
Candelario went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 6-5 win over the Orioles.
It's his second homer of the season, both of which have come in his last three games. Candelario had a rough start to the season, but he's now gone 8-for-24 (.33) over his last six contests with six extra-base hits (three doubles, one triple, two home runs).

Danny Valencia 3B | BAL
Orioles' Danny Valencia: Goes yard Wednesday
Valencia went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 6-5 loss to the Tigers.
The veteran has only four hits on the season, but three of them have gone for extra bases (one double, two homers). Valencia's been getting steady playing time since Jonathan Schoop (oblique) hit the disabled list, but as of yet he hasn't done much to prove he should continue seeing his name on the lineup card once the O's get healthier.
