  • Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: Gets rest Sunday

Candelario is out of the lineup Sunday against the Royals.

Candelario will head to the bench for just the second time this season in what looks to be a planned off day for the third baseman. In Candelario's stead, utility man Niko Goodrum will slot in at the hot corner and bat sixth in Sunday's lineup.

  • Drew Robinson 3B | TEX

Rangers' Drew Robinson: Out of lineup Saturday versus lefty

Robinson is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Red Sox.

Robinson went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts in Friday's loss to Boston and now has a horrid 50.6 percent strikeout rate on the season. The 26-year-old has multiple strikeouts in each of his last six starts and is slashing just .175/.258/.238 in 80 at-bats this year.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Lands on disabled list

The White Sox placed Moncada (hamstring) on the 10-day disabled list Saturday.

Moncada exited Friday's game against the Twins with left hamstring tightness that initially cropped up Wednesday. The 22-year-old indicated a few days of rest would be beneficial, and it's not overly surprising to see the White Sox exercise some caution. Jose Rondon was recalled from Triple-A Charlotte for added infield depth, with Leury Garcia and Yolmer Sanchez also options to fill in at second base.

  • Matt Duffy 3B | TEX

Rays' Matt Duffy: Three-hit night in win

Duffy went 3-for-4 with a double and a run in a win over the Blue Jays on Friday.

Duffy continues to produce from the top half of the order, as he's now 10-for-28 with two doubles and a run over his last six games. The hot-hitting third baseman has a trio of multi-hit games during that stretch, and his early production hints at a potential bounce-back season after injuries wiped out all of 2017.

  • Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: Gets two more hits Friday

Candelario went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Friday's loss to the Royals.

Candelario extended his hitting streak to six games, and he has three two-hit performances during that span. The 24-year-old is now slashing a strong .290/.362/.516 in his first full season in the majors after posting a .283/.359/.425 line in 38 games with the Tigers last year.

  • Twins' Eduardo Escobar: Hits two home runs Friday

Escobar went 3-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Friday's win over the White Sox.

Escobar hit a solo home run in the second inning, another solo shot in the third and an RBI double in the fifth. He also took a walk and got caught stealing. Escobar is hitting .350 over his last 15 games, bringing his OPS up to 1.010 on the year. The 29-year-old now has a league-leading 14 doubles and his .316 batting average is good for fourth among MLB shortstops.

  • Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE

Indians' Jose Ramirez: Goes yard again Friday

Ramirez went 3-for-4 with a double and a two-run home run in Friday's 7-6 loss to the Yankees.

It's his ninth homer of the season and second in as many days. The red-hot Ramirez also has five multi-hit performances in his last six contests, boosting his slash line to .293/.383/.577.

  • Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Smacks two homers Friday

Devers went 3-for-4 with two home runs in Friday's 5-1 victory over the Rangers.

The home runs were both solo shots and are Devers' fifth and sixth of the season as he's started May with a 7-for-18 stretch. The 21-year-old now carries a .276/.326/.488 slash line with 23 RBI in 123 at-bats this season.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Likely out a few days

Moncada (hamstring) indicated two-to-four days of rest could help his hamstring injury, James Fegan of The Athletic Chicago reports.

Moncada started experiencing left hamstring tightness Wednesday and was held out of Thursday's game, but returned to the lineup Friday only to exit during the fifth inning. The White Sox have an off-day Monday before hosting a two-game series against the Pirates, when the 22-year-old is hopefully able to return.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Leaves Friday's game

Moncada exited in the bottom of the fifth inning of Friday's game against the Twins, Dan Hayes of The Athletic Minnesota reports.

Moncada drew a one-out walk and appeared to gingerly return to first base following Yolmer Sanchez's flyout to center field. The 22-year-old was out of Thursday's lineup with hamstring tightness and that remains the issue Friday as well. He should be considered day-to-day for the time being. Moncada was replaced at second base by Leury Garcia, with Adam Engel taking over in center field.
