  • Jean Segura 3B | CLE

Mariners' Jean Segura: Three hits Tuesday

Segura went 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI in Tuesday's loss to the Rangers.

Segura missed a pair of games after getting kicked in the head Saturday, but he picked up right where he left off. The three-hit day was his third in the last four games, running his average to .330 on the season and .365 in May. As long as he's healthy and getting on base, the 28-year-old figures to remain among the league leaders in runs scored and steals.

  • Orioles' Manny Machado: Hits home run No. 16

Machado was 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Nationals.

Machado and Bryce Harper traded solo blasts in the first inning Tuesday, but the Orioles' lineup offered little else in terms of offensive production, per usual. Baltimore's shortstop has cooled off a bit after his insane start to the season -- 1.124 OPS through April -- but still has an impressive .326/.394/.614 line with 16 home runs and 45 RBI in 215 at-bats on the year.

  • Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE

Indians' Jose Ramirez: Clubs 16th home run

Ramirez was 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, a double and a home run in Tuesday's victory over the White Sox.

Ramirez began the game with an RBI double in the first inning and followed with a 420-foot solo home run to right-center field in the fifth inning. The 25-year-old upped his slash line to a fantastic .296/.389/.616 with 16 home runs, 17 doubles and 39 RBI in 203 at-bats.

  • Danny Valencia 3B | BAL

Orioles' Danny Valencia: Likely headed for paternity leave

Valencia was scratched from Tuesday's lineup after his wife went into labor, Rich Dubroff of PressBoxonline.com reports.

Valencia will likely be placed on the paternity list in the next day or so as he awaits the birth of his child. Jace Peterson took his place at third base Tuesday.

  • Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: Blasts home run Tuesday

Candelario went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, his eighth of the season, in Tuesday's loss to the Angels.

The 24-year-old has now played five games since returning from a stint on the disabled list due to a wrist injury, and he has three home runs in that span. It appears as if Candelario is fully healthy and should continue posting solid numbers moving forward.

  • Danny Valencia 3B | BAL

Orioles' Danny Valencia: Late scratch from lineup

Valencia was scratched from Tuesday's lineup against the Nationals, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

It's unclear what forced Valencia's removal from the lineup at this point, but Joey Rickard joined the starting nine as a result, with Jace Peterson sliding to third base. Consider the veteran day-to-day for now.

  • Jean Segura 3B | CLE

Mariners' Jean Segura: Returns to lineup Tuesday

Segura (head) is starting at shortstop and hitting leadoff Tuesday against the Rangers, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

As expected, Segura is back in action after being withheld from Monday's lineup for precautionary reasons. The 28-year-old, who is hitting an impressive .324/.341/.465 through 50 games this season, will face righty Austin Bibens-Dirkx in his return to action.

  • Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL

Blue Jays' Josh Donaldson: Out of lineup Tuesday

Donaldson (calf) is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Red Sox, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.

Donaldson left Monday's game early with a calf injury, but he doesn't believe the injury to be serious. He stated that the Blue Jays would likely give him the day off Tuesday regardless of how he felt, so it's difficult to predict whether Donaldson will be penciled into the lineup for Wednesday's series finale versus Boston. Russell Martin will take over at third base and bat sixth in his stead.

  • J.D. Davis 1B | LAA

Astros' J.D. Davis: Smacks three-run homer

Davis went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run Monday in the win over the Yankees.

Davis delivered his first home run of the season in the second inning of Monday's game, giving New York an early three-run lead. Through 12 games, he's gone 7-for-31 with the lone home run, seven RBI and seven walks.

  • Jean Segura 3B | CLE

Mariners' Jean Segura: Should be part of Tuesday's lineup

Segura (head) is expected to play Tuesday against the Rangers, TJ Cotterill of The News Tribune reports.

Segura was a late scratch from Monday's lineup, but he didn't suffer a setback. Manager Scott Servais stated he was being conservative by keeping Segura out of the lineup, and that he should be good to go for Tuesday's matchup.
