Baez went 1-for-4 with a grand slam in Wednesday's 7-4 win against the Astros.

The 32-year-old capped the scoring for Detroit with a third-inning grand slam to extend the lead to 7-1, and those insurance runs proved pivotal since Houston rallied for three runs between the fifth and seventh frames. Baez has seen most of his action lately in center field and now has seven starts at the position since making his first start there April 21, and he's taken advantage of the consistent playing time with four doubles, a homer, seven RBI and a .360 average during that span.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone told reporters Wednesday that the hope is for LeMahieu (calf/hip) to resume his rehab assignment Friday, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

LeMahieu was shut down from his rehab assignment Tuesday after receiving a cortisone injection in his right hip, but he is on track to resume his assignment with Double-A Somerset on Friday. He was placed on the 10-day injured list at the beginning of the season due to a left calf strain that he suffered in early March. How LeMahieu's calf and hip react over the next few rehab games will determine his timeline for a return to the majors.

Urias will start at third base and bat ninth in Wednesday's game against the Yankees.

The 30-year-old will draw his sixth consecutive start and looks as though he'll be in store for a regular role in the infield while Jordan Westburg (hamstring) is on the shelf. Urias won't carry much fantasy appeal, however, as he boasts strong contact skills but lacks power or speed and often bats in the bottom half of the lineup.

Cabrera is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Orioles.

The switch-hitting Cabrera has been occupying the stronger side of a de facto platoon at third base with the right-handed-hitting Oswald Peraza, so the latter player will enter the lineup Wednesday while the Orioles send southpaw Cade Povich to the bump. Dating back to April 4, Cabrera is slashing .313/.389/.391 with one home run, 11 runs and eight RBI in 18 games, a level of production that could allow him to remain the Yankees' primary third baseman even once DJ LeMahieu (calf/hip) is cleared to return from the injured list.

Mastrobuoni is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Angels.

With southpaw Tyler Anderson taking the hill for the Angels, the left-handed-hitting Mastrobuoni will take a seat after he started at four different positions (second base, third base, left field and right field) in Seattle's previous four games. Though he doesn't have a regular home in the infield or outfield, Mastrobuoni could continue to see fairly steady playing time against right-handed pitching while Dylan Moore (hip) and Luke Raley (oblique) are on the injured list and while Jorge Polanco (side) is limited to the designated-hitter role.

Bregman went 3-for-5 with a solo homer and three runs scored in Tuesday's win over the Blue Jays.

Bregman was one of five Red Sox players to leave the yard and did so in the first inning, sending the pitch 410 feet to left. The home run extended Bregman's hit streak to nine games, and he's recorded five multi-hit efforts over that span while getting on base at a .500 clip. Bregman leads the team in nearly every offensive category aside from on-base percentage and steals. He's hitting .331/.401/.570 with six homers, 23 RBI, 22 runs, one steal and a 12:25 BB:K in 137 plate appearances.

Paredes went 1-for-2 with a triple, two walks, an RBI and two runs scored Tuesday against the Tigers.

Paredes has at least one hit in seven of his last eight games, going 9-for-29 in that span. More impressively, he's managed four walks while striking out only twice in that same sample. Paredes tallied his first triple of the season Tuesday, raising his ISO to .159 across 125 plate appearances for the season.

Peraza went 2-for-5 with one run scored and two RBI in Tuesday's 15-3 win over the Orioles.

Peraza entered Tuesday's game in the first inning for Jazz Chisholm (oblique). Peraza took advantage of the opportunity, smacking a two-run single in the fourth frame and finishing with his second multi-hit game of the season. With DJ LeMahieu (calf/hip) on the 10-day IL, Peraza would be a candidate to see his playing time increase significantly if Chisholm is sidelined for an extended period of time.

Caminero went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Tuesday's loss to the Royals.

Caminero provided the Rays' lone run with his solo shot in the fourth inning. It was his sixth home run of the year and first since April 17. During his nine-game homerless drought, Caminero posted a .476 OPS. His season slash line is now .266/.302/.486 with 12 extra-base hits and 17 runs scored through 116 plate appearances.

Manager Aaron Boone said Tuesday that LeMahieu (calf) received a "preemptive" cortisone injection in his right hip and is expected to resume his minor-league rehab assignment Thursday or Friday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

LeMahieu has gone 6-for-10 with a homer and a double through four games during his rehab assignment with Double-A Somerset, but he received the injection after "feeling something come on" with his hip. The hip issue doesn't appear to be a serious concern, but it's a concerning development for a player that's recently been saddled by injuries. Assuming the veteran infielder can pick up his rehab assignment in a few days, he could be ready for his season debut with the Yankees after another week or two in the minors.
