Rafael Devers 1B | SF
Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Digging out of early hole
Devers went 2-for-5 in Thursday's 7-1 over Baltimore.
It was the fourth consecutive game in which Devers hit safely and the fourth time in the last six he's posted multiple knocks. During that six-game run, the third baseman is 11-for-27 (.407) with three doubles, one home run and four RBI. Prior to that, he'd batted just .174 through 18 games.

Abraham Toro 1B | BOS
Astros' Abraham Toro: Slugs second homer
Toro went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run Thursday against the Rockies.
Toro took German Marquez deep in the fifth inning to record his second home run of the season. He's in line for a major uptick in at-bats, with both Alex Bregman (hamstring) and Aledmys Diaz (groin) currently on the injured list. Toro has been fairly unimpressive to this point, as he's managed just a .171/.261/.341 line across 46 plate appearances, though he should have the chance to get in a groove with more regular at-bats.

Gio Urshela 3B | MIN
Yankees' Gio Urshela: Homers, doubles in loss
Urshela went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and double in Thursday's 10-5 loss to Tampa Bay.
Urshela belted a Diego Castillo fastball into the seats to give the Yankees a 4-3 lead in the fifth inning. The third baseman now has five long balls and 18 RBI on the campaign. He carries a slash line of .256/.333/.513.

Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA
Angels' Anthony Rendon: Dealing with sore wrist
Rendon is experiencing pain in his left wrist but doesn't expect the issue to cause him to miss any time, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
Rendon took a hard groundball off his left wrist in the third inning of Wednesday's matchup against the Giants but stayed in the game and produced a pair of hits. However, he was in noticeable pain after at least one swing and said Thursday that the wrist "doesn't feel great." Nonetheless, Rendon doesn't appear set to miss any games due to the issue, so he should be able to continue trying to build upon his current nine-game hitting streak.

Yadiel Rivera 3B | MIL
Rangers' Yadiel Rivera: Summoned to majors
Rivera was promoted to the Rangers' active roster Thursday.
Rivera will provide the Rangers with infield depth for the time being with Elvis Andrus sidelined due to a lower-back strain. The 28-year-old appeared in 34 games for the Marlins in 2019, slashing just .183/.258/.217 with zero home runs and two stolen bases.

Matt Chapman 3B | SF
Athletics' Matt Chapman: Productive night in win
Chapman went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and two runs in a win over the Diamondbacks on Wednesday.
Chapman made his presence felt throughout the contest, crossing the plate with half of the Athletics' four runs on Robbie Grossman's ground-rule double in the first inning and Mark Canha's home run in the third. In the process, the slugging third baseman snapped a very brief 0-for-5 skid that had encompassed his last two games, and he now carries a four-game on-base streak as part of a lopsided .238/.278/.525 season slash line.

Isaac Paredes 3B | HOU
Tigers' Isaac Paredes: On bench Thursday
Paredes is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the White Sox.
After getting called up from the Tigers' alternate training site, Paredes started in each of the team's past three games at third base, going 1-for-9 with two walks, two RBI and a run scored. Willi Castro will get the nod at the hot corner Thursday, but expect Paredes to serve as the primary option at the position while he's up with the big club.

Alex Bregman 3B | CHC
Astros' Alex Bregman: Moves to IL
The Astros placed Bregman (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list Thursday, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports.
He'll leave the Astros' ongoing road trip and return to Houston to undergo an MRI on his strained right hamstring, an injury he sustained in Wednesday's win over the Rockies. Bregman becomes the third major Houston hitter to land on the IL in the past week, joining Yordan Alvarez (knee) and Michael Brantley (quadriceps). A clearer timeline for Bregman's return should become available once his MRI results are read, but while he's sidelined, Abraham Toro, Jack Mayfield and Yuli Gurriel are the main candidates to see more time at third base.

Alex Bregman 3B | CHC
Astros' Alex Bregman: Out Thursday with hamstring injury
Bregman (hamstring) is not in Thursday's lineup against the Rockies, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Given that he was diagnosed with a strained right hamstring after leaving Wednesday's game, it's not surprising to see him out of the lineup the next day. Abraham Toro will start at third base and hit seventh.

Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA
Angels' Anthony Rendon: Keeps hitting streak alive
Rendon went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's loss against the Giants.
The Angels' offense went 6-for-33 against Giants pitching, and Rendon produced two of those hits, including one of the team's two extra-base knocks. The star third baseman got off to a slow start this season but has turned things around this month, and he is currently riding a nine-game hitting streak in which he's slashing .469/.553/.1.031 with five homers, nine RBI and a 1.584 OPS.
