Abraham Toro 1B | BOS
Astros' Abraham Toro: Path to regular starts blocked
Toro is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Rockies, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Toro picked up a pair of starts last week after Alex Bregman missed five games while on the COVID-19 injured list, but the former likely won't see much use going forward after Bregman was reinstated from the IL on Wednesday. With the Triple-A season set to begin in May, Toro likely won't remain with the big club much longer, as the organization still wants him to play on an everyday basis in the minors.

Bregman started at third base and went 0-for-4 in Tuesday's 6-2 loss to Colorado.
Bregman was back with the team after clearing health and safety protocols and missing the last four games. He and three others flew by private plane to Colorado, cleared some final intake protocols, and were activated in time for the game. There had been talk of Bregman not returning before Thursday.

Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Not in Tuesday's lineup
Devers will not start Tuesday's game against Toronto, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.

His solid start to the 2021 season continues, as Devers is now batting .271 with 15 RBI through 16 games. The 24-year-old has also drawn a walk in an impressive 11.6 percent of his plate appearances this year.

Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA
Angels' Anthony Rendon: Resumes baseball activities
Rendon (groin) began baseball activities Monday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Rendon was able to hit off a tee and did some light throwing and fielding drills. He got through the workout without issues, though it doesn't appear as though he'll be ready to go when first eligible to return from the injured list Wednesday. The Angels have yet to provide a clear timetable for his return.

Alex Bregman 3B | CHC
Astros' Alex Bregman: Traveling with team
Bregman (undisclosed) is traveling with his teammates to Denver on Monday and appears set to play in Tuesday's series opener against the Rockies, Mark Berman of KRIV Fox 26 reports.
The Astros had a handful of players placed on the COVID-19 injured list last week, but several of them are set to return, suggesting they didn't actually come down with the virus themselves. Assuming Bregman's week off didn't throw off his swing too much, he could be set for a strong two-game series at Coors Field.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Resting for day game
Moncada is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Red Sox.
Chicago and Boston are closing out their series with a game that starts at 11:10 a.m. local time, so White Sox manager Tony La Russa will give Moncada a breather after the third baseman played both ends of Sunday's doubleheader. After going 2-for-5 with a walk between the two contests, Moncada's season slash line now sits at a pedestrian .200/.318/.273 over 66 plate appearances. Jake Lamb will spell him at the hot corner Monday.
