Emmanuel Rivera 3B | BAL
Royals' Emmanuel Rivera: Dealing with wrist injury
Rivera was removed from Tuesday's game at Boston with pain in his left wrist, Lynn Worthy of The Kansas City Star reports.
The 25-year-old apparently had the injury surface while lining out during his at-bat in the opening frame, and he was replaced in the field in the second inning. Rivera should be considered day-to-day until more information is available on the injury.

Alex Bregman 3B | CHC
Astros' Alex Bregman: Gives positive update Tuesday
Bregman said Tuesday that his ultrasound on his strained left quad "went great" and that he is "way ahead of schedule" in his return timeline, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
Manager Dusty Baker said earlier Tuesday that he didn't expect Bregman to return for at least another month. The third baseman's own update seems to contradict that of the skipper, as being ahead of schedule would seem to indicate Bregman could be activated sometime in mid-to-late July. It's hard to know whose word holds more weight at this point, but Bregman's timeline will likely be clarified before too long.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Battling shoulder issue
Moncada's absence from the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Twins is due to the fact that his right shoulder is "barking," according to manager Tony La Russa, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Moncada has been in a bit of a slump lately, which could potentially be related to the shoulder issue. The exact nature and severity of the injury are unclear. Leury Garcia will make at least one start at the hot corner in his absence.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Day off Tuesday
Moncada will sit Tuesday against the Twins.
Moncada has struggled to a .195/.333/.244 line over his last 12 games. He'll get a day to clear his head, with Leury Garcia taking over for him at third base.

Emmanuel Rivera 3B | BAL
Royals' Emmanuel Rivera: Gets second straight start
Rivera will start at third base and bat sixth Tuesday against the Red Sox.
After receiving a call-up from Triple-A Omaha on Monday, Rivera immediately entered the starting lineup in the Royals' 6-5 loss in the series opener in Boston. Rivera went 2-for-4 with a strikeout and an error in his MLB debut, and he looks like he could be in store for an everyday role at third base for the foreseeable future after the Royals designated Kelvin Gutierrez for assignment Monday.

Alex Bregman 3B | CHC
Astros' Alex Bregman: Not close to returning
Astros manager Dusty Baker said Monday that he doesn't expect Bregman (quadriceps) to return for at least a month, SportsTalk 790 Houston reports.
This certainly isn't a positive update for Bregman, as last week it was reported that he could be back in two or three weeks. It's not entirely clear if the third baseman suffered some sort of setback that led to the longer return timeline, but based on Baker's update, Bregman appears likely to miss the entire month of July. Abraham Toro should continue to serve as the primary third baseman in Bregman's absence.

Gio Urshela 3B | MIN
Yankees' Gio Urshela: Goes deep in loss
Urshela went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in a loss to the Angels on Monday.
Urshela took Angels starter Dylan Bundy deep in the second inning to temporarily tie the game 2-2. The homer was his 10th of the season and accounted for his 32nd RBI. Urshela has racked up five multi-hit games over his past nine contests and is slashing .343/.361/.657 with three homers, two doubles and five RBI over that span.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Indians' Jose Ramirez: Leads offense with five RBI
Ramirez went 3-for-5 with a three-run homer, a double, five RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 13-5 win over the Tigers.
The five RBI represent a season high. He brought a run home in the first with a groundout and had his biggest hit of the night in the fourth, when he connected on a first-pitch fastball and sent it over the wall in right for a three-run homer. The 28-year-old then doubled and scored in the sixth, and he topped it all off by singling home a run in the seventh. Ramirez is slashing .264/.347/.528 with 17 homers, 49 RBI, 52 runs scored, six stolen bases and a 31:38 BB:K over 303 plate appearances. His OPS is more than 100 points off last year's, but he's still producing strong numbers for fantasy purposes.

Emmanuel Rivera 3B | BAL
Royals' Emmanuel Rivera: Contract selected for MLB debut
Rivera's contract was selected by the Royals on Monday.
Rivera wasn't seen as much more than a fringe prospect heading into the year, though he's done everything he can to change that in 44 games for Triple-A Omaha, homering 14 times while slashing .282/.337/.593. It looks as though he'll get the chance to claim the starting job at third base, as he'll start there and bat sixth in his MLB debut Monday against Boston. Kelvin Gutierrez, who had been the team's primary third baseman, was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.

Jose Miranda 3B | MIN
Twins' Jose Miranda: Gets call to Triple-A
The Twins promoted Miranda from Double-A Wichita to Triple-A St. Paul on Monday, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.
After a down season between two affiliates in 2019, Miranda has returned from minor-league baseball's one-year layoff with a vengeance. The 22-year-old earned his first call-up to Triple-A after decimating Double-A pitching to the tune of a .345/.408/.588 slash line with 13 home runs and a minuscule 11.5 percent strikeout rate across 218 plate appearances. In addition to his exploits at the plate, Miranda has picked up double-digit starts at first base, second base and third base, signaling that the Twins could be preparing him for a utility role if and when he arrives in the majors.
