  • Orioles' Gunnar Henderson: Absent from lineup

Henderson is not in the Orioles' lineup for Friday's game in Toronto, Steve Melewski of MASNSports.com reports.

Henderson will take a seat against left-hander Yusei Kikuchi. The rookie infielder has gone just 4-for-30 at the plate versus southpaws this season. Joey Ortiz will get the start at third base.

  • Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE

Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Returns from bereavement

Ramirez was activated from the bereavement list by the Guardians on Friday, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

Ramirez missed a series against the White Sox but is back for this weekend's set versus the Mets. He's at third base and batting third against former Cleveland teammate Carlos Carrasco.

  • Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL

Yankees' Josh Donaldson: Sliced thumb delays rehab

Donaldson (hamstring) said Thursday he recently sliced his thumb, which has delayed him from beginning a rehab assignment, Max Goodman of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.

Donaldson said Thursday that he was "putting something together" with his daughter when he suffered the cut. It's not a huge setback -- his hamstring is almost fully healed -- but he might not get into minor-league rehab games until sometime next week. The veteran third baseman has been on the shelf since early April.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Sitting out Thursday

Moncada is not in the White Sox' lineup for Thursday's game versus the Guardians.

It looks to be a routine day off for Moncada. The hot-hitting Jake Burger will handle third base against Logan Allen and the Guardians.

  • Gio Urshela 3B | MIN

Angels' Gio Urshela: Not in Thursday's lineup

Urshela is absent from the Angels' lineup for Thursday's game in Baltimore.

Luis Rengifo will handle third base and Brandon Drury will be at first while Urshela gets some rest. He had started the previous 11 contests.

  • Taylor Walls 3B | TB

Rays' Taylor Walls: Picks up two steals in loss

Walls went 1-for-5 with a run and two stolen bases Wednesday in an extra-inning loss to the Mets.

Walls was punched out four times in the contest, but he still helped his fantasy managers with a pair of thefts. One of those came after he began the 10th inning as the automatic runner, leading to a run that temporarily gave Tampa Bay the lead. Walls has nine steals through 33 games this season, which already puts him one short of his total over 142 contests last year.

  • Royals' Maikel Garcia: Rattles off three hits

Garcia went 3-for-4 with an RBI double in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Padres.

Garcia has bounced back from an 0-for-11 skid by racking up five hits over his last two contests, including a pair of doubles. He had a hot first week in the majors to begin May, but he's cooled off a bit since, though it's yet to cause a significant decrease in playing time. The infielder has a .264/.293/.358 slash line with no home runs, eight RBI, four runs scored, five doubles and two stolen bases through 58 plate appearances.

  • Alex Bregman 3B | CHC

Astros' Alex Bregman: Muscles up in comeback win

Bregman went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, two RBI, three runs scored and a walk in Wednesday's 7-6 win over the Cubs.

Bregman had a solo shot in the first inning and an RBI double in the eighth to knock in the Astros' first two runs. He was intentionally walked and came around to score on Kyle Tucker's two-run walk-off single in the ninth. The homer was Bregman's second in the last three games, and he's hit safely in four of his last five contests. The third baseman had a rough start to the year, but it appears he's starting to get things figured out. He's slashing .224/.340/.379 with six homers, 21 RBI, 26 runs scored, five doubles and a triple through 43 games.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Adds steal Wednesday

Moncada went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Wednesday's 7-2 win over the Guardians.

Moncada has gone 6-for-15 (.400) with three doubles and two RBI over his last four games. The steal was his first of the season, and he hasn't swiped more than three bags in any of the last four campaigns. The 27-year-old has regained a starting role at third base since returning from a back injury, and he's slashing .310/.344/.534 with two home runs, seven RBI, seven runs scored and seven doubles through 61 plate appearances this season.

  • Jake Burger 3B | TEX

White Sox's Jake Burger: Smacks another homer

Burger went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run and a triple in Wednesday's 7-2 win over the Guardians.

Burger has homered in three straight games since coming back from a short stint on the injured list with an oblique strain. He's also gone 7-for-12 in that span. The 27-year-old has settled into the starting job at designated hitter with Eloy Jimenez (abdomen) sidelined, and that should be Burger's spot for roughly another week. For the season, Burger is slashing .278/.348/.747 with a career-high 10 homers, 20 RBI, 14 runs scored, five doubles and a triple through 89 plate appearances.
