Rays third baseman Evan Longoria homered and doubled in Saturday's win over Boston. 

Longoria had two extra base hits in a game for the first time since May 26. He went 2 for 4 and extended his hitting streak to five games. He's hitting .400 over that span (8 for 20). 

Longoria hit his eighth home run and drove in his 34th run. He added his 15th double of the year. 

Left fielder Eduardo Escobar managed one of seven hits for the Twins on Saturday in Milwaukee, but it not only jump-started his team, it proved to be the difference in the game.

Escobar smashed a three-run homer in the fourth inning that turned a 1-0 deficit into a 3-1 lead in a three-run win. It was his fourth home run of the season and gave him 26 RBI this season.

Twins third baseman Trevor Plouffe hit a two-run home run in the sixth inning of Friday's loss to Milwaukee. 

Plouffe went 2 for 4 and went deep for the 10th time this year, snapping a 13-game home run drought. 

Plouffe now has 40 RBI on the year.

Orioles third baseman Manny Machado went 1 for 4 in Friday's win over Cleveland. 

Machado's single extended his hitting streak to eight games. He's hitting .429 with 1.074 OPS over the streak. 

Blue Jays pinch hitter Danny Valencia hit an eighth-inning home run in Friday's win over Texas. 

Valencia's solo shot was his fourth of the season and third in the month of June. It was his second career pinch homer and first since August 27 of last year. 

Orioles third baseman Manny Machado continued his torrid offensive stretch Tuesday at Boston by compiling his fifth straight multihit game. He went 2 for 5 with one double and one RBI.

Since May 31, Machado has produced 14 multihit games. He has a .391/.434/.696/1.130 slash line in that span. He has also has four doubles, eight home runs, 20 RBI, 22 runs, seven walks and four stolen bases in his last 22 games.

Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson is not in the starting lineup for Monday's game. Donaldson had started four straight and 11 of the last 12. 

Danny Valencia will start Monday, for the sixth time this season. He's the only player other than Donaldson to start at third base for the Blue Jays this year. 

Manager John Gibbons said it was a day off for Donaldson, per Sportsnet.

Orioles third baseman Manny Machado recorded a three-hit performance for the second game in a row, and for the fourth time in his last nine games. Machado went 3 for 5 with two RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 13-9 win over the Blue Jays.

Over those nine games, Machado is batting .447 with four home runs and 12 RBI. He has also walked six times and struck out just three times in that span.

Indians rookie third baseman Giovanny Urshela is out of the lineup Sunday against Tampa Bay. Mike Aviles is manning the position instead.

Urshela has performed decently since his promotion. He has hit safely in seven of his nine starts and owns a .242/.306/.343 slash line. He has also provided a distinct defensive upgrade.

Longoria went 1 for 3 with a three-run home run in the top of the first inning.

Longoria is now hitting .312 with 10 hits and six RBI over his last nine games.
