Twins' Trevor Plouffe: Taken out Sunday due to rib muscle injury

Plouffe was diagnosed with a right intercostal strain, and is day-to-day, LaVelle Neal of the Star Tribune reports.

Plouffe was taken out of Sunday's game with the Angels in the 10th inning due to the rib muscle injury. It doesn't appear to be a serious injury, and he could be back as soon as Monday's game with the Brewers.
