Longoria went 1-for-4 with a strikeout in Sunday's 3-2 victory over the White Sox.

The veteran third baseman started off the season by hitting safely in six of his first seven games, a stretch that included three multi-hit outings and two homers. However, he's cooled off over the subsequent five contests, hitting only .200 (4-for-20) over that span with no homers, an RBI and a run scored. He has managed to hit safely in three of his last four, and is still slashing a respectable .265/.280/.429 line over his first 49 at-bats of the season. With the entire Rays offense stuck in a general malaise so far in 2016, Longoria's production is likely to receive a boost in conjunction with the rest of the lineup making greater contributions as the season unfolds.

Moustakas went 1-for-4 with a solo homer Sunday at the Athletics.

Moustakas' fourth blast of the season gave the Royals an early two-run lead in a game they'd go on to lose. He's now homered in two of his last three games, and despite a .217 batting average, he moved his OPS up to .802.

The Twins will rest Plouffe (ribs) for a few days before making a decision on a DL stint, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Plouffe was removed from Sunday's game and eventually diagnosed with a right intercostal strain. In the aftermath of the extra-inning win, he said that he's felt the concern in recent days but doesn't believe it's "serious." Ultimately, his bout of rest will help determine whether he requires a more lengthy rehab process.

Manager Paul Molitor will sit Escobar out for a second straight game with Eduardo Nunez thriving out of the gate this season, going 9-for-13 at the dish. With the Twins sitting on a 2-9 record through their first 11 games, expect Molitor to ride the hot hand between Nunez and Escboar while the team looks to facilitate more run production.

Devers went 0-for-4 for High-A Salem on Saturday. The highly-touted prospect has been held hitless in six of his first 10 games and is currently batting .143.

Devers is considered one of the big four prospects in the Red Sox's system and is the organization's top power prospect. This is his first exposure to the High-A level, so we're not overly alarmed at his poor start. He still maintains an advanced plate approach, striking out in just 12 percent of his plate appearances with more walks (six) than strikeouts (five). Be patient and don't allow predatory owners to part with him for less than he's worth.

Donaldson was 2-for-4 with a triple and run scored in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Red Sox.

The reigning AL MVP got to former teammate David Price early, blasting a triple into left-center field in the first inning. Donaldson was subsequently plated by Jose Bautista's RBI double, and the Jays' third baseman added a single later in the game to make it his fourth multi-hit outing of the season. He's also posted extra-base hits in three of his last four games, and looks to have picked up exactly where he left off in his spectacular 2015 campaign.
