Giavotella is out of the lineup Sunday against the Rays.

Giavotella's hold on the starting second base job appears to be loosening, as he'll be limited to a reserve role for the fourth time in seven games. He may continue to split at-bats with Cliff Pennington until one of the two separates himself from the other.

Altuve (finger) is back in the lineup Sunday against the Mariners, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports.

The Astros held Altuve out of the lineup Saturday while he dealt with a sore left index finger, but it was likely just precautionary, as the second baseman came on to pinch hit later in the contest. He'll be inserted into his usual spot atop the order Sunday and is a safe activation in all weekly leagues.

Drury went 3-for-5 with two doubles and one RBI Saturday at the Braves.

Drury's RBI double in the sixth inning gave the Diamondbacks a lead they'd never relinquish. He's now posted 10 hits over his last six games, and his slash line sits at .316/.333/.621.

Semien went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, three RBI, a walk and two runs scored in Saturday's 8-4 victory over the Orioles in the first game of a doubleheader.

The 25-year-old now has back-to-back multi-hit outings, after not having accomplished the feat since April 12. Furthermore, those two contests have also included back-to-back homers, as well as four RBI. After a late April slump that saw his average dip to .186 at one point, Semien is now hitting .221 with a team-leading eight homers. His current long ball tally has him well on pace to surpass the 15 homers he managed over 556 at-bats in 2015. However, with only one other extra-base hit besides the gopher balls, the four-year pro is has been a bit on the feast-or-famine side to date this season.

Altuve is dealing with soreness in his left index finger, Angel Verdejo of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Altuve injured the finger while diving for a ball Thursday, and it's since swelled up in the area where he grips the bat. As a result, he'll be held out of the lineup Saturday for the first time all season

Polanco is in the lineup Saturday against the White Sox, Audra Martin of FOX Sports North reports.

Polanco was recalled from Triple-A Rochester earlier in the day, and he'll join the lineup immediately with Eduardo Escobar hitting the DL and Brian Dozier (hamstring) still unavailable. Polanco will hit seventh and man second base.

Altuve is not in the lineup Saturday against the Astros, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports.

Altuve will get his first day off of the season, as Marwin Gonzalez takes over second base duties. Gonzalez will bat second, while George Springer assumes the leadoff spot.

Drury went 1-for-5 with a solo homer in a 7-2 victory over the Braves on Friday.

The second-year outfielder continues to swing a hot bat, hitting safely in 11 of his last 14 games, a span that includes seven multi-hit efforts. The home run was also Drury's second homer of the month and fifth over the last nine contests. The 23-year-old appears to be blossoming with every passing game and is slashing .300/.319/.600 over his 90 at-bats.

Polanco was recalled from Triple-A Rochester on Saturday, Mike Berardino of MLB.com reports.

With Eduardo Escobar hitting the DL on Saturday, Polanco will come up from Triple-A to fill the open spot on the 25-man roster. Polanco and Eduardo Nunez figure to handle shortstop duties over the next few weeks in Polanco's absence. Polanco is hitting .283 at the plate in 13 games with Rochester this year.

Hernandez is in a 2-for-32 slump to bring his slash line down to .230/.329/.377.

Hernandez has seen his BABIP drop from last year's .369 to this year's .261 while he's improved his BB% from 5% to 12.9%, so there are things to like. Hernandez is hitting just .167 versus RHP (.320 vs. LHP), so he should continue to be a solid DFS play against non-elite southpaws at least.
