The Mets recalled Guillorme from Triple-A Syracuse ahead of Monday's doubleheader with the Marlins.

He'll fill the active roster spot vacated by Robinson Cano (hamstring), who was placed on the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. Cano's injury creates an opening in the everyday lineup at second base, but Jeff McNeil is the most logical candidate to shift back to the infield to fill the void, leaving Juan Lagares and Aaron Altherr to vie for a spot in the outfield alongside regulars Michael Conforto and J.D. Davis. Guillorme, meanwhile, is expected to serve as a lightly-used backup at the keystone, third base and shortstop, effectively keeping him off the fantasy radar.

Torres (abdomen) was discharged from the hospital late Sunday and traveled with the Yankees to Baltimore ahead of the team's series opener Monday versus the Orioles, Zach Braziller of the New York Post reports.

Torres became the latest victim of the Yankees' season-long injury epidemic in Sunday's 7-4 win over the Red Sox, exiting in the eighth inning with what manager Aaron Boone labeled as a "core issue." The Yankees immediately sent Torres to the hospital to undergo further testing, with the infielder's father, Eusebio, relaying via his personal Twitter account that his son checked out fine. While Torres may have avoided a significant injury, he'll likely be out of the lineup Monday and could be at risk of joining fellow everyday players Aaron Hicks (elbow), Luke Voit (abdomen), Gary Sanchez (groin), Edwin Encarnacion (wrist), Giancarlo Stanton (knee) and Miguel Andujar (shoulder) on the injured list. Expect the Yankees to provide an update on Torres' condition in the hours prior to Monday's contest.

Chavis went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Yankees.

Chavis singled in the third inning to break an 0-for-11 cold snap, then torched J.A. Happ for a 435-foot blast in the fifth inning. The rookie is slashing .259/.327/.460 with 18 homers and 57 RBI in 361 plate appearances this season.

Torres was taken to a local hospital due to a core issue after leaving Sunday's game against the Red Sox, Lindsey Adler of The Athletic reports.

The extent of Torres' injury is not yet known, though it's not a great sign that he was sent to the hospital. He'll need to undergo further testing before the Yankees can determine whether he'll miss significant time.

Manager Dave Roberts said Sunday that Hernandez (hand) was recently able to take dry swings, Rowan Kavner of MLB.com reports.

Fellow utility man Chris Taylor (forearm) remains at a similar place in his recovery, though Roberts noted that Hernandez was likely "a couple days ahead of Chris." Hernandez was slashing an impressive .352/.417/.574 in July before going down with the injury, leaving the Dodgers without two of their more versatile options and motivating the team to acquire Tyler White from the Astos and Kris Negron from the Mariners.

Diaz is expected to be recalled from Triple-A New Orleans prior to Monday's doubleheader against the Mets, Craig Mish of FNTSY Sports Radio reports.

Diaz has been tearing it up at Triple-A this season, slashing .305/.395/.578 with 26 homers and 70 RBI over 102 contests. As a result, he'll get a chance to make his big-league debut at second base, though he'll compete for playing time with Starlin Castro and Jon Berti.

Torres went 3-for-10 with two solo home runs, a double, and an additional run between both ends of Saturday's doubleheader sweep of the Red Sox.

After a hitless performance in the matinee game, Torres did all his damage on the day in the nightcap, with his 22nd and 23rd home runs of the season holding up as the difference in the Yankees' 6-4 victory. Though he's typically been deployed in the heart of the lineup lately, Torres will occupy the leadoff spot for the first time all season Sunday with DJ LeMahieu receiving a breather.

Urias is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

It's the second straight contest on the bench for Urias, who has a .132/.313/.211 slash line in 12 games since being called up July 20. Greg Garcia will grab another start at the keystone in his place.

Arraez will bat second and start at second base Sunday against the Royals.

With Jonathan Schoop on the bench for the third time in four games, Arraez seems to have at least temporarily inched ahead of him on the depth chart at the keystone. The rookie has earned the everyday job after submitting an impressive .346/.420/.438 slash line through his first 174 plate appearances and has occasionally been rewarded with placements in the top half of the lineup as a result of his success. Arraez doesn't offer much power (two home runs) or speed (one stolen base), however, so he's mostly just a batting average, on-base percentage and runs play in fantasy leagues.

Polanco is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals.

Polanco will bow out of the lineup for the first time since July 18, ending a stretch of 15 consecutive starts in which he batted .254 with four home runs, 11 RBI and 12 runs. He connected on one of those long balls in Saturday's 11-3 win, bringing his total up to 17 on the season. Ehire Adrianza will spell Polanco at shortstop in the series finale.
